With a short warning, the Deep Pool Canyon was soon to be noisy.
It echoed once again to the sound of dynamite exploding.
Donavan's proposal was underway.
Denver had called upon all his mining expertise.
Laying the explosives in a purposeful way.
So, that when exploding they left deep holes.
Which required remarkably little excavation.
The final result was a huge burial plot.
It was positioned at the far end of canyon.
Where it ran along the foot of a exceptionally steep ridge.

Donovan stood with hat in hand.
He was casually, waving away a cloud of dust.
And wore a big grin, that grew larger as he admired the results of their handy work.
"Well Denver, that's a good job done!
What do want from us next?
The men are itching to throw the scums carcasses into the pit.
They say some are already beginning to stink."
