Marshall took us all
hitched us in his wagon
our hands tied
leaving promptly
Deputy sat next to him up front
on the lookout
Couple miles out of town
heard a lot of hoof beats

The Marshall drew his gun at the ready
he knew what was happening
The deputy did the same
Couple guys went to the front
stopping them in their tracks
they drew their weapons
a smirk on their faces
Marshall and Pitts made fast work
of the men
The rest of the gang
went around back to get me
free any other prisoners
that wanted to escape
Snake Eyes, second in charge,
picked the locks, making me free
before giving me a weapon
Ewell and I only escaped

"You two are more skilled than
I thought" I said
when I saw Marshall and Pitts
finishing up
"You won't get away with this Alexander" Marshall replied
"Then you should have been more prepared"
Snake Eyes added before smirking
My gang and I hopped on our horses
and rode out
they got what they came for
Ewell went in the opposite direction of us
We hadn't gone too far yet
Marshall aimed and fired

Pitts chuckled, "I would have wanted him
to rot in jail but that just makes our life easier."
Pitts locked up the wagon
the leftover prisoners too
before he and Marshall continued
their path to County
