and dusk descended
Waiting to enact their plan
had finally ended
By now the Belle
was in the marsh
Too far to hear the shooting
The signal from the Kit Kats
was a lonely owl hooting
Into the boats
they paddle from shore
closing on the Steamboat's wake
When it slowed and
they heard the whistle blow
right then was their chance to take

quick to the bridge
3Gun and Billy below
Myna's knives and her

In the hold were the guns
with two men on guard
One drew on Billy
a lesson learned hard
The other surrendered
without a fight
