Our rewrite opens up with a shot of deep space where Optimus narrates how long ago, Cybertron was once ruled by a council of 13 primes. it was a peaceful time, the cosmos and its inhabitants safely protected by the primes. however that all changed when they were betrayed by one of their own. we then get a shot of the Nemesis flying towards a distant planet before we then zoom in on the planet's surface where we see a tribe of aliens come across a massive device jutting out of the ground. the aliens are terrified, the parents shielding their children's eyes before the Nemesis starts hovering over the planet's surface before none than Megatronus prime leaps off the flagship and onto the ground below to slam his staff into the ground, causing the ground below to crack as the device activates, sucking the power from the planet's sun while the native aliens watch in horror as their sun is slowly drained by the device. Megatronus prime then returns to the Nemesis and blasts off as the star implodes destroying all the planets in its solar system in the process. we then cut to the Nemesis returning to Cybertron followed by Megatronus entering the temple of the primes where he is judged by the council of primes for his crimes against the galaxy by using the technology known as star harvesters on inhabited worlds to destroy entire solar systems causing the genocide of several sentient alien races, which is forbidden. Megatronus pleads to his fellow primes that his actions were for a good cause, as the energy collected from the star harvesters could help Cybertron's ongoing Energon crisis and that the various alien races that were wiped out were worthy sacrifices. however the council of primes don't buy it and declare their treacherous brother guilty, stripping Megatronus of the title of prime along with telling Megatronus, now dubbed "The Fallen", that he is hereby banished from Cybertron. The Fallen then turns his back on the council and begrudgingly leaves the temple, vowing revenge as the camera zooms into his eye. roll title card.
