We then cut to a pair of N.E.S.T. helicopters carrying Optimus Prime's lifeless body over the sea before arriving at Diego Garcia where they drop the dying robot onto a trailer to transport Prime's body to The Metroplex. General Witwicky and the Commandos watch as Optimus's body is carried off and they all salute their fallen leader. Lennox then tells General Witwicky that N.E.S.T. director Faireborn isn't going to be happy about this, and General Witwicky tells Lennox that the director is going to have to wait, saying that the Autobots need to be given some space since they just lost their leader and they obviously need time to mourn. Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Arcee, Blurr, Wheeljack, Mirage, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker arrive on the scene and drive past the N.E.S.T. soldiers with Spike, Carly, Kicker, Chip, Elise, and Wheelie hiding inside the trunk of Bumblebee's vehicle mode. Kicker starts complaining about how it's starting to get cramped in here, telling Spike "your foot is in my face, dweeb". Spike apologizes and Bumblebee tells Kicker to calm down saying that it's the only way he could smuggle them into N.E.S.T. HQ, saying that if the director of N.E.S.T. found them they'd be called into question immediately and you DEFINITELY don't want to get on Director Faireborn's bad side. all the Autobots (except Bumblebee) transform into robot mode and Ratchet places Optimus's body on the medical bay. Ratchet scans Optimus's body and tells the Autobots and N.E.S.T. agents the good news: Optimus Prime's vital signs still function, meaning he is still very much alive. the bad news is... his injuries have knocked him into a coma, and his wounds are fatal meaning they could lose him at any minute which is why Optimus is being put on spark support for the time being. Mirage blames Bumblebee for why Optimus is on the brink of death, saying that if it weren't for his reckless behavior he would still be walking. Arcee tells Mirage that Bumblebee is innocent saying that he had no way of knowing this was going to happen, all the while Bumblebee still in vehicle mode overhears Arcee and Mirage's argument before he tries to smuggle the kids out of the hangar. Blurr starts to have an anxiety attack, zipping around the room screaming "we're doomed we're doomed we're doomed, without Optimus we're DOOMED!" at fifty miles an hour followed by Ironhide smacking Blurr across the face telling him "get your scrap together! Optimus laid down his life to protect this planet and it's people, it's our duty to uphold Prime's wishes and keep Earth safe from the Decepticons". Ratchet then turns his head to Ironhide and tells him "Ironhide we should leave this planet", but Ironhide tells the good doctor "that's not what Optimus would want", showing Ironhide's deep respect for Prime all the while Sideswipe comforts his grieving twin Sunstreaker. We then see a helicopter land in front of the Metroplex much to the surprise of General Witwicky and the commandos, and out steps a blonde-haired, middle-aged woman in a business outfit who tells Irving "hello, General". Lennox is shocked to see this woman, recognizing her as N.E.S.T. Director Marissa Faireborn. Lennox tells General Witwicky that he didn't know that she'd be here this soon, and Director Faireborn tells the boys that she would like to speak with the Autobots, giving Epps an angry glare. Epps fearing for his life upon gazing into this woman's eyes followed by Burke asking Epps if he's okay, telling him that he looks like he just saw a ghost. Donnelly tells Burke that woman must have stared directly into Epps's soul. Graham tells the others to relax saying that he doesn't think she's that scary. General Witwicky reluctantly grants Marissa Faireborn permission and the commandos escort Director Faireborn into the Metroplex where they are greeted by the Autobots who salute her, Director Faireborn telling the Autobots that she came as soon as she heard of what happened to their leader, saying that she still hasn't forgotten the mess the Autobots made in shanghai that resulted in the death of Autobot Cliffjumper AND the incident that resulted in the Decepticon prisoner Soundwave escaping from N.E.S.T. custody and that she's just about done with their incompetence, saying that now they just lost their most valuable asset in this war against the Decepticons. Ratchet tries to calm Fairborne down, telling her "with all due respect director, Optimus Prime is in critical condition and it'll take time for him to completely recover". Faireborn gets irritated and tells Ratchet to hurry up with his repairs, saying that she don't got all day. she expects Optimus to be back up and transforming before the Decepticons stage their next attack, which irritates Ratchet.  Wheeljack crosses his arms, telling Ratchet that director lady can be such a pain in the afterburner. Ratchet doesn't respond to avoid making Faireborn even more angry than she already is. the five human teens overhear the conversation from inside Bumblebee's trunk, Spike asking what the heck is going on. Bumblebee tells Spike to shush saying that they don't wanna get the attention of Director Marissa Faireborn. Kicker is shocked to hear this, exclaiming "the director of N.E.S.T. is a lady? is that even legal?" followed by Carly elbowing Kicker in the eye for his sexist comment with Elise thanking Carly for shutting him up. Bumblebee tells the five teens that Marissa Faireborn is a lady that will chew you out if you dare step out of line, so it's important that she doesn't know that they're here. Wheelie then starts spinning his head around and beeping loudly followed by Chip putting his hand on Wheelie's face telling him to shush, however it is too late as their cover is already blown and Director Faireborn raises an eyebrow at where that beeping noise is coming from. she then asks Lennox "who's the Camaro?" and Lennox responds by telling her "That's Bumblebee, he's Cliffjumper's replacement" she then asks Lennox why Bumblebee is still in vehicle mode, and Bumblebee decides to come clean by transforming into robot mode and ejecting Spike, Carly, Kicker, Elise, Chip, and Wheelie. Director Faireborn asks Bumblebee what is the meaning of all this, asking what a bunch of TEENAGERS are doing in a top-secret military base. Bumblebee assures Faireborn that he can explain and introduces the director of N.E.S.T. to Spike, Carly, Kicker, Chip, Elise, and their little robo-pet Wheelie. wheelie then beeps angrily at Bumblebee followed by Chip correcting bee by saying that Wheelie is not a pet. General Witwicky is shocked to see Spike, asking his son what he's doing here saying that he's supposed to be at college. Spike tells his dad that it didn't work out so well for him, but he did get a pair of cool new roommates. Spike introduces his dad to Chip Chase and Elise Presser along with their new tiny robot friend Wheelie who beeps at the general. Irving facepalms and tells Spike "your mother is so gonna kill me for this" followed by Spike telling his father that they should keep this their little secret. Director Faireborn and Lennox watch this exchange, Lennox asking Faireborn why she's so upset. Director Faireborn then tells Lennox "I can't stand children, don't like them never will. one of the reasons I never got married". Bumblebee explains to Faireborn that he had to smuggle them into The Metroplex to keep them safe from the Decepticons while General Witwicky introduces her to his son Spike, and she gives Spike and his friends an irritated look, telling the five of them that they are all in big trouble right now. Wheelie then shocks Faireborn making her even more irritated, asking who this little robot is, and Chip introduces her to Wheelie explaining that he made him out of a bunch of used car parts. Faireborn is impressed by this, telling Chip that he's got quite the intellect for a young man his age saying that his skills could be of use to N.E.S.T.'s science division. She agrees to let the five stay here for their own protection and has an Autobot guardian assigned to each of the five teens to keep an eye on them until they can be safely returned home, which gives Spike a sigh of relief. After that, we cut back to The Nemesis where we see Megatron return to The Fallen's throne room to inform his master that the Optimus prime is dead and that he killed him with his own two hands. The Fallen berates Megatron, telling him that he is a fool saying that The last prime is still alive, saying that he can sense that his Spark has not been extinguished. Megatron tells The Fallen this is impossible, saying that he watched Optimus Prime fall by his feet. The Fallen berates Megatron, saying "and yet he lives. First you were bested by the prime, and then you failed at the simple task of slaying him. Not only that, but you've allowed treacherous bots like Starscream into our ranks putting our entire plans at risk. No wonder why he constantly tries to overthrow you, you're a failure who's driven our once-great empire into the ground and you DARE call yourself leader of the Decepticons. Pathetic". Megatron pleads for The Fallen's forgiveness, saying "Forgive me master, I've worked so hard to follow in your footsteps to build this glorious empire in your name. I even named myself after you..." The fallen interrupts and tells Megatron "enough. Get out of my sights". Megatron clenches his fists and walks out of the throne room walking past Starscream who taunts Megatron by telling him "I guess your word with the fallen didn't go so well eh Megatron?" followed by Megatron telling Starscream that he's not in the mood while Skywarp, Thundercracker, Ramjet, and Slipstream stare awkwardly. Starscream the monologues about how Megatron never gives him the respect he deserves, followed by Slipstream telling Starscream that he'll always be Decepticon leader to her and the two share a romantic moment which disgusts Megatron who looks away from the two Decepticon lovers before ordering Starscream and the seekers to go look for the Allspark fragments. Starscream tells Megatron right away and the five seekers transform into their jet modes and blast off followed by Megatron telling Soundwave to keep a close eye on them. Megatron then enters Jetfire's personal quarters to tell him that he has a job for the gentle giant, saying that he wants him to go to Earth and find the Star Harvester for him. Jetfire with his archaeological knowledge tells Megatron that since the device was built thousands of years ago it's probably been long-buried by now and they're gonna need an excavation crew if they are going to find it. Megatron tells Jetfire it's all taken care of and the seven Constructicons enter the room. Jetfire asks Megatron what he plans on doing with the device, and Megatron puts his hand on Jetfire's shoulder lying to him that the planet they call Earth is infested with Autobot terrorists and that he plans on using the Star Harvester's power to destroy the planet and the Autobots with it. Jetfire is deeply troubled by this, telling Megatron that there are innocent life forms on that planet and what he's doing is genocide. Megatron assures Jetfire that this is war and sacrifices must be made in order to rid the universe of the Autobot menace. Jetfire then tells Megatron that he heard Optimus say that the Autobots were the good guys, and the Decepticons were the bad guys. Megatron tells Jetfire that Optimus Prime is a liar and to not believe a word the Autobots say as they can be very manipulative. we then cut back to N.E.S.T. HQ where Spike asks Ratchet if Optimus is going to be okay, and Ratchet tells Spike that he doesn't know himself while staring into the unconscious prime's optics. we then transition to Optimus's subconscious where we see Optimus find himself in an empty black void, asking where he is. a voice then calls out to him saying "you are close to death, young prime. your spark has been transported the astral plane which acts as the bridge between life and death". a ghostly white robot appears before Optimus who recognizes him as Alpha Trion, the records keeper of the primes tasked with chronicling the past, present, and future. Alpha Trion explains to Optimus that the ghosts of primes past wish to speak with him, as things have become dire with the return of The Fallen, the prime who's existence was erased from the history books to prevent future generations of transformers from learning of the council of prime's greatest tragedy. Optimus asks Trion what that tragedy is, and Trion tells Optimus to come and he'll show him.
