We then cut back to the world of the living where we see Bumblebee pacing back and forth feeling nervous about the idea of losing prime. Spike asks Bumblebee if he's okay, and Bumblebee tells Spike that Optimus Prime was like a father figure to all of his Autobots. He was wise, powerful, courageous, and always fought for the freedom of all life in the universe. He had everyone's back when they needed him the most. But now that he's gone, the team is now left without his guidance and have lost all faith with no one to lead them. Spike then tells Bumblebee that there's gotta be something they can do. Bumblebee tells Spike that he wishes that was the case, but without a leader there is nothing that they can do. Spike has an idea and suggests to Bumblebee that maybe one of the Autobots should take over as leader until Optimus is fully recovered, but Bumblebee tells Spike it's not that simple as there simply isn't anyone on this team that is capable of filling Optimus's shoes. Wheeljack tells Spike that's not a bad idea and asks for volunteers to take command of the Autobots in Prime's absence. Ironhide suggests that he should take command, since he's the Autobot with the closest amount of experience and battle prowess to that of Optimus. Arcee then suggests that she shall take command, since she is second-in-command of team prime thus making her next in the line of succession. Bumblebee then decides to step up and say "I'll do it". The whole room goes silent, Mirage rolling his eyes at the idea of the yellow bot being leader material. Bumblebee tells the Autobots that he might not be the fastest, the strongest, or the smartest, and he'll never be the great leader that Optimus was. But what he does have is the courage in his spark and the faith in himself and his teammates to fight for what's right in Optimus's name. The other Autobots and humans are moved by Bumblebee's speech, Carly being brought to tears. Director Faireborn asks the Autobots how they exactly plan to rescue Optimus's soul, Wheeljack telling Bumblebee that she has a point. Bumblebee suggests that they use the Allspark to revive Optimus, saying that two years ago he was healed by the Allspark's life-giving energy so it's possible they could use it to heal Optimus. Faireborn objects, reminding Bumblebee that the Allspark was destroyed two years ago. Lennox tells her that during his interrogation of the Decepticon Soundwave he learned that the cube was only a vessel and that the Allspark is pure energy and cannot be destroyed. Bumblebee then suggests that they find the remaining Allspark fragments and reassemble the Allspark to revive Optimus with it. Wheeljack tells Bumblebee that in theory, it could work. But when the Allspark was shattered the shards were scattered to countries around the world, meaning they have a ton of ground to cover with not that much time. Chip pitches in and suggests that they split into teams to make it more easier for them to collect the Allspark shards in time to save Optimus before it's too late. Wheelie spins around and starts beeping meaning he likes that idea. Everybody agrees on Bumblebee's plan and Director Faireborn assigns each of the five human teens to an Autobot partner: Spike obviously gets Bumblebee and Kicker gets Ironhide, Carly gets Arcee, Elise gets Blurr, and Chip gets Wheeljack. after the teens get acquainted with their Autobot partners, Wheeljack tells the Autobots that he has picked up the remaining five pieces of the Allspark in five different locations: New York, Greece, Peru, Japan, and finally Egypt. the Autobots and Humans agree to split up into four different groups: Spike and Carly will go with Bumblebee and Arcee to Greece, Chip and Wheelie will go with Wheeljack to New York, Kicker and Elise will go with Ironhide and Blurr to Japan, and Mirage and the Twins will go with the commandos to Peru. once the four teams find their respective Allspark fragment they will regroup at Egypt to search for the final Allspark fragment. Ratchet will stay behind at the Metroplex to tend to Optimus's wounds. Wheeljack then outfits Bumblebee with a pair of arm-mounted taser weapons he developed called "stingers" that were inspired by researching Earth's insects. Ratchet then looks at Sideswipe and Sunstreaker menacingly and tells them "you two better be on your best behavior" followed by the twins telling him "don't worry doc, we will" followed by Ratchet turning around revealing that the twins have spray painted the words "kick me" on his back causing Sideswipe and Sunstreaker to giggle with laughter behind Ratchet's back which angers the grumpy Autobot medic. General Witwicky wishes his son luck before giving him a goodbye hug before the Autobots transform into their vehicle modes. Spike hops inside Bumblebee, Carly hops on Arcee, Kicker hops inside Ironhide, Chip and Wheelie both hop inside Wheeljack, Elise hops inside Blurr, Epps and Graham both hop inside Sideswipe, Donnelly and Burke both hop inside Sunstreaker, and Lennox hops inside Mirage. General Witwicky then tells the Autobots "as Optimus prime would say.... roll out!" and the seven Autobots then board the N.E.S.T. carrier plane before taking off. Director Faireborn comments on how General Witwicky seems to have a lot of faith in those kids, and General Witwicky tells her that they did help the Autobots save the world after all. Ratchet continues to tend to Optimus's wounds, wondering what is going on inside the comatose prime's head.
