Bab 3 systematic design approach

1. Why SDA?
-The need for a results-oriented approach first used, and how today's designer used it:

*students motivated to learn are kept keept engage in learning
*standards are address and students can pass required test
*instruction meets needs of learners with different ability levels
*instruction is  consistently successful in various situations

2. Essential SDA

-designed to solve a problem
-agreement among objectives materials and assessment
-orderly, flexible, sequence of planning the system
-design procedures based on research
-try out/ revision of resulting IDS

3. Characteristics SDA

-Planning and documentation
-Align objectives, assessment & inst. strategies
-Create materials and develop media
-Include a tryout and revision cycle

4. Characteristics SDA 2

-ID should focus on solving a problem
-ID should be an orderly but flexible activity
-ID should incorporate what we know about effective t&l
-ID should conform that the instructional system work
-ID provide assistance in using new technologies for learning

5. Design Model Overview (DMO)

The DMO have 3 phase and that is analysis (phase 1), design, development, implementation (phase 2) and evaluation and revision (phase 3)

6. Phase 1 analysis

-identify instructional problems and state= goals
-analyse goals
-state objectives n assessment strategies

7. Phase 2 (design/development/implementation)

-design n development assessment instruments
-design instructional strategies
-develop materials n media
-develop learning environment
-design n develop assessment instruments
-design instructional strategies
-develop materials n media

8. Phase 3 (evaluate/revision)

-formatively evaluate instruction
-revise instruction
-optional (summative evaluate instruction)

Extra info: ISD have 2 models and that is ADDIE and Dick and Carey model. ISD can be traced back to the military era in the world war II. It is a system approach to creating instructions. It may be called instructional development (ID), curriculum development (CD), instruction system for training (IST) and many more.
