I spent the whole night turning and tossing, it was so hard to get Chard of my mind. It might have just been sex for him but that night we spent together left me longing for more, I wanted to have him all to myself, to wake up to his kisses every morning, to have him explore my little body like he did that night.
You see I have dated so many men but no one made me feel like Chard did, the moment I set my eyes on him something deep within me moved, it was love at first sight and I was determined to get him to love me. That secretary of his had nothing on me. I was going to destroy her. I walked out of my room feeling exhausted I needed some coffee to keep me alert.
"Morning Mrs. Kapambwe" Nicole greeted
I didn't reply, I clicked my tongue in irritation and she laughed.
"Awe boi naiwe don't be like that I was just joking weh, but why are you upset? Don't you want to be Mrs. Kapambwe?" She chuckled
"I know you are just trying to get me upset but it won't work" I said while making myself a cup of coffee.
"So what's for today" she asked
"I want to go shopping I need new clothes for when I start work on Monday, want to join me?"
"I don't even have money besides I am comfortable going for work in my old clothes"
"Gosh Nicole you can be such a bore, don't you even want to look attractive for your boss?"
"Why would I want to attract my boss ai?? I have Carson remember?"
"I wonder what you see in that guy, he has no sense of style, he has no money and here you are busy wasting your beauty away on him"
"I will not have you disrespect my boyfriend Nora"
"Okay sorry boi but join me for shopping"
"Whatever" she threw the pillow at me.
Sometimes I wondered why Nicole and I became friends in the first place because we were so different. We met on campus four years ago and instantly clicked, I asked her to move in with me and we have been staying together since then. I am a rich kid, my father provides me with everything in need unlike Nicole who has to struggle to get even a new dress. But I guess I liked the fact that she was the only true friend I have ever had and she always tells me when I am wrong.
And now that she had a chance to be an intern at one for Airtel as a Public Relations Officer working hand in hand with that handsome manager, she was going to a let the chance to better her life pass her by? If my heart wasn't with Chard I would have gone for him too.

"One day you will make some man proud Maria" I told her in the morning as we were having breakfast
"Meaning?" she asked with one of her serious faces
"Did I say anything wrong?" I asked
"Oh so you want me to make some man proud? Why don't you say I will make you proud?"
"You just misunderstood my statement"
"Then help me understand it"
"Maria we just had a perfect night, please don't spoil it with your drama"
"Oh so now I am being dramatic huh?"
"That's the reason I haven't put a ring on that finger, you are always exaggerating things, if I should make you my wife someday then you should learn to process the things I say before starting an argument" I said as I stood up from the chair
"You are not eating anymore?"
"Just lost my appetite, hurry up I need to get to the office "
"I am sorry baby, please forgive me"
"It's fine"
"I am really sorry" she said as she stood up also, she came to where I was standing she started kissing me and I couldn't resist, we ended up having sex just before dashing to the office.
It's not too hard to manipulate Maria, maybe it's because she is too desperate for marriage, I remember one time I bluntly told her I couldn't be with her and she kept crying and begging me to reconsider my decision, I never keep one woman with me for a long time but Maria was an exception because she was always willing to serve me.
It was lunch time and Maria was in my office as usual ready to please me she was laying on my table with her legs wrapped around me as I passionately kissed her when my office door unexpectedly flung open.
"Oh gosh don't you knock?" I said a said with an angry tone and she just burst out laughing.
"Please learn to close your door huh" she said as she walked outside
I quickly adjusted my clothes and Maria did the same then, she walked out feeling embarrassed.

Maya walked in as soon as Maria walked out and she couldn't stop laughing.
"Like really on your table" she asked "Learn to knock Maya, how do you barge in like that?" "I hate knocking, but why don't you ever lock the door what if it was Dad that walked in on you or better yet mum?"
"Maya forget what you saw" "Poor thing, so she thinks you will marry her?" "Imagine" I said and we both laughed "So how is my baby sister doing?" I sarcastically asked "I am not a baby you and I were born a just a minute apart" "Fact is I came earlier than you, you are a baby" "Ah shut up chard, we are just the same, a minute doesn't make no difference" "Should I get mum's opinion on that" I laughed "No ways leave mummy out of this" "So how have you been?? How is work? You have become scarce whose keeping you busy?" "Just work and nothing much you know, no one is keeping me busy, I haven't dated anyone since Arnold and I broke up"
"I would have dealt with that guy if not for your silly whining" "I told you I am capable of fighting my own battles, don't treat me like a toddler Chard" "It's my duty to make sure you are happy Maya and no man should ever hurt you while I am still alive"
"I know that Chard now let's talk about you, when will you settle down? You have way too many women in your life each time I get to see a different one, do these women even last a week in your life?"
"Oh please not the love talk again, love is for people like you not me, all these ladies just throw themselves at me, tell me why would I want to marry just one of them and even if I wanted to marry someone it wouldn't be with any of the ones I sleep with, they are too loose"
"Eh too loose you say? You will never change. I just hope someday you will find that one woman that will sweep you off your feet and you will fall deeply for her, you won't even realize you are falling for her, you won't even plan it, it will just happen"
"You can be very funny Maya, is there such a thing as sweeping me off my feet, come on I am not built up for all that nonsense"

We walked out of his office hand in hand, that's how my sister and I walked people who didn't know us sometimes mistook us for lovers.
"Maria, cancel all my appointments for this afternoon I will be spending some time with my sister" I told her as we walked out.
We drove in Maya's car to levy and had lunch then afterwards we decided to do a little shopping.
"So what do you think about this faith girl" Maya asked as she was checking out some dresses
"I don't know what to think, I know mum wants me to get to know her a little then maybe start something with her but you know I hate commitments, maybe for mum's sake I could just play along for a while"
"Don't go that line Chard Aunt Mildred is mum's great friend if you played with her daughter you wouldn't live to tell the tale"
"Maya if that woman wants to hand her child to me on a silver plate then I will be more than ready to have her, just for fun and nothing more"

"I hear you my sister" We picked a few things from fashion world then went to Edgars, bought a whole lot of stuff from there as well then proceeded to Jets, each time Maya is shopping she would make sure she buys something for everyone.
"Will these shoes fit Zoe?" she asked as she handed me some tiny little purple shoes
"I bet they will"
"I just love shopping for babies it's so exciting I wish Olivia can have more kids soon"
"Maya get married and have your own kids" I playfully hit her
"That hurt Chard, ouch"
"Serves you right"
After we got done shopping, we went to the counter and paid then walked out carrying a lot of plastic bags.
Then just as were about to exit the place, someone tapped my shoulder and when I turned guess who I saw smiling at me like a retard.
