When I got home I called mum so I could ask about Dad and she told me he had left the country for an emergency so I had no option but to wait for his return, I was running out of time I felt like I could just get Maria out of the picture myself but I didn't want to implicate myself so I had to patiently wait for Dad to come back and give the orders.
I spent two weeks watching Maria and Chard flirt in front of me, whisper in each other's ears and acting like love birds and the more I saw them the more furious I became, I was going to teach the little brat a lesson.
Thursday morning I got to the office and Maria wasn't on her desk as usual, when I got to the office she was comfortably sitting on Chard's desk sipping on what looked like coffee and typing a few things like the boss.
"What are you doing there?" I asked annoyed
"It's none of your concern, just get to work I need the reports ready by the end of the day"
"You are not the boss stop acting like one"
"I am the boss's future wife" she blushed
"You are just Chard's whore like all the rest of the girls he fucks"
"Ask him how long he has been with me then you will know I am not like all of you, didn't he trash you the night after sex and you are still here thinking he will marry you"
"Maria, Maria, Maria one of these days I will make you swallow your words"
"I would like you see you do just that" she answered and continued typing
"Don't say I didn't warn you"
"Oh now I am scared" she laughed
I was so furious I left the office and went to the rest room to calm myself down when I got back she was still on his desk.
"And just so you know Mr. Kapambwe is not coming through today so I am standing in him for him , whatever you might want to ask him can be directed to me" she said faking a smile
"You are just a secretary, why are you being in charge when I am actually the one that should do that"
"You have been for like how many minutes?" she rolled her eyes
I decided to let it go but my heart was bruised, I had to deal with her because no one has ever talked to me in such a manner and lived to the tale, I would make her pay for all the tears she let me shed.
When Dad got back on Saturday he sent Jack one of his right hand men to sort out Maria for me. I met him at the lodge he was staying at because I didn't want to raise any suspicions by bringing him home.
"Hey ba Jack mwaenda shani?" I greeted
"Eyamukwai Twaendafye bwino, katwish kuno mulishani?"
"Tulifye Bwino"
"So tell me more about this girl" he asked and I explained everything leaving out no details.
"I will need a photo of her and her home address"
"I can get that for you on Monday"
"What exactly do you want us to do to her?"
"Take her out completely and make sure you do a clean job, I don't anything linking back to me"
"Walishiba efyo tubomba, nothing will link back to you or anyone of us"
"Okay let me get going, kanshi nkamitumila pa Monday nga na senda ama photo na address"
I went back home feel so happy that finally I would get the little rat of my way then Chard would be all mine, I tried searching for Maria on face book but I didn't find anything, maybe she was using another name so I waited till Monday to get the information I needed on her.
Monday morning I arrived at the office very early I was in high spirits I greeted everyone as I walked to the office.
"Hey Maria" I smiled at her
"What got into you?" she asked surprised
"Let's just say it's a new day and I am in a good mood"
"Wonders shall never end" she muttered
I got to the office and Chard wasn't there so I quickly searched his drawers for Maria's file when I found it I checked through and wrote down her home address on a piece of paper then went back to my desk.
"One mission accomplished" I smiled to myself
At lunch time I didn't go anywhere and as soon as Maria walked out to get lunch for her and Chard I went by her computer pretending to be searching for a work document, I found a folder with a few of her photos and transferred them to my phone.
"Done" I smiled as I walked back to the office
I sent Jack the photo and address and he told me he would do an investigation on her before attacking.
Jack texted me the next day and told me Maria was staying with her sister who was out of town for the next couple of days and that he sort her out by the end of the week.

I didn't like Nora From the time I set my eyes on her, we just didn't click there was something about her that turned me off, she looked mischievous and devious, I knew she had her eyes on Chard and it made it clear he was mine so she could back off.
I knocked of late on Thursday because we were planning the end of year party for the company and usually at the party we would have executives from other companies then the best workers would also be awarded since I had been working hand in hand with Chard for a long time, I was put in charge of planning the party so I stayed back when everyone knocked off, so I could make sure I had all the details of what would be needed.
When I got done I locked the office and walked out to my car, I said bye to the security people and drove off, I was renting an apartment in long acres with my sister but she had gone out for the weekend, as I opened the gate so I could drive in, I had a feeling someone was watching me but I brushed it off and got in. when I got in, I took a shower and made myself some coffee before sleeping, I was later awoken by some footsteps in the house, at first I thought I was dreaming but I heard them getting louder and leading to my bedroom.
"Could my sister be back?" I thought as I got up from bed
"But why would she be back this late and without calling?" I thought, just then the footsteps stopped,
"Maybe it was my imagination" I debated within myself. I waited for a while but heard no footsteps then I convinced myself I must have been dreaming. I hated sleeping alone in a big house I usually had night mares and my sister always said I just had a wild imagination so just to convince myself that the footsteps I heard where not real I slowly walked out of my room so I could see if I left any windows unlocked .

I walked out and went all the way to the kitchen, no windows where opened and the door seemed to have been locked expect the tap was open and there was water in the kitchen.
"Oh shit, I left the tap open" I mumbled to myself as I got a bucket and started moping out the water before it spread to the other rooms, as I was moping I felt like someone was standing behind me but because I thought it was my imagination I didn't turn to check.
"Maria don't give into your imagine always because you will end up having a heart attack over nothing" my sister Miriam always told me
After I was done I stood up so I could clean my hands and when I looked behind I came face to face one with two scary men, they were wearing black clothes and their faces where masked.
"What do you want here?" I trembled
One of them just made their way to where I was standing, I tried to open the door but it was locked, there was no way out for me.
"Please don't hurt me" I begged
"Next time you will know never to mess with the boss's child"
"I don't know what you are talking about?" I said in between sobs
"By the time we are through with you, you will know"
"Don't hurt me please"
"Shut up and do as we say" one of the said as he grabbed my hand
I was so scared I almost peed on myself as he pulled me to my bed room, I tried screaming but he covered my mouth with his other hand. When we got to my room they forcefully undressed me and tied me to the bed, I was shaking with fear because I knew what they had in mind, they stuffed some cloth in my mouth so I could not scream and I watched them take turns in raping me, I felt so disgusted as I saw the grin on their faces, what kind of animal would enjoy doing such to someone's child I thought as tears fell off my eyes. When they got done, they dressed up one of them took out a gun and without hesitating shot me on my chest.

I couldn't sleep that night as I waited for news from Jack I prayed all would go as planned I didn't want them leaving any evidence behind so I had told them to make it look like robbery. When he finally called me around 02:00 I was hesitant in picking up, what if something went wrong but then I knew my father would never send me anyone incapable of performing the job.
"Atshani ba jack"
"Natubaza, she will never bother you again"
"Natotela ba Jack you never disappoint"

I jumped up and down when he told me the news, I played some loud music got a bottle of whiskey and started drinking.
"Nora what has gotten into you?" Nicole said as she switched off the radio
"Iwe Nicole ninshi?" let me be weh I am having fun"
"Awe boi I had a hectic day I need to rest weh"
"Ah you are so boring okay I am going out then"
"Suit yourself, she said as she went back to bed"
The next day I woke up with a hang over, I drank some energy drink and prepared myself for work, it was a Friday and because I was celebrating the whore's death, I woke black ripped jeans, black hood, black sneakers and a black necklace, I even painted my lips black.
"What's the occasion? Who are you mourning?" Nicole asked
"No one I just feel like being in black"
We had breakfast and drove off for work I dropped her at her work place and proceeded to the office. I was a little late and I found Chard on phone.
"Morning" I greeted him after he was done
"Morning Miss Munanga"
"Just call me Nora, Miss Munanga sounds too formal"
"As you wish" he responded
When Chard noticed Maria wasn't in by 10 he got restless because they were supposed to attend to a meeting with some major clients and Maria had all the information with her.
"I wonder what's happening to Maria" this is unlike her
"Calm down maybe she is sick or something" I responded
"I know Maria very well she would have called if she wasn't well"
"But being worked up like this won't bring a solution I suggest we attend to this meeting and deal with Maria later"
"I guess you are right, let me check her computer for information" he said as he walked out, he came back a few minutes and told me to get ready for the meeting, after I went through the notes Maria had, we drove off to Intercontinental hotel to sign a major deal, I made sure to present in the best way possible so I could make Chard happy, they had been working on this contract for a long time and I always had my ears open I had done my own research and when I presented, the clients where quiet impressed.
"We did it" Chard screamed as he hugged me after the clients had left
"Yes we did" I am so happy
"Yes I was so worried we wouldn't do it without Maria, but you impressed me Nora, this calls for a celebration" he said
"Sure thing" I smiled
We had lunch before driving off to the office, Chard kept dialing Maria's line but it ringing. We walked back to the office laughing and talking about the deal we just sealed, that's exactly how I wanted my relationship with him to be.

I had worked with Maria for a long time and not once had she missed work without letting me know, I was really worried about her but first I had to attend to the things at hand before checking up on her, I kept trying her line the whole day but it kept ringing then later it went off. As soon I knocked off I drove to her place I tried hooting but no one came to open so I got of the car and got it, her door was slightly opened indicating that someone might have been inside.
"Maria" I called out before going in, I called out a few times but when no one answered so I decided to get in, I was shocked when I saw the house had been turned upside down, things where broken and some of her goods where not in the house, it looked like a robbery took place, I quickly rushed to her room and almost fainted when I saw Maria lying naked in a pool of blood.
"Maria" I called as I tried to move her body but there was no life in her.
