I looked at myself in the mirror when I finished getting dressed and I couldn't help but admire how sexy I looked, I might have had a slender body but I also had enough curves compliment my it. I packed my laptop and phone in my bag before walking out.
"Are you sure you are going for work?" Nicole asked when I entered the living room where she was waiting for me.
"Mood spoiler, where do you think I am going?"
"That top is too revealing for work"
"Holy mother preach to me, this jealous of yours will kill you someday"
"Oh so you think I am jealous? Why would I be jealous of you, we are friends and It's my duty to correct you"
"Cut the crap Nicole, we both know you would jump at a chance of being me"
"I would never want to be you not now, not in the next life"
"That's the reason you will remain poverty stricken for life"
"Unbelievable" she clicked her tongue, got her hand bag and walked out.
"Nicole, I didn't mean it that way" I called out while following her behind but she was already out of the gate, I was now worried about how she would get to work because I was supposed to drop her, I tried calling but she didn't pick up so I went back in the house had a cup of coffee and got my bag.
I locked the door, got into the car and drove out. I played a bit of music as I drove to work and an hour later I got there, I searched for an empty parking lot but most of them where full so I packed just behind Chard's car, before getting out of the car I checked myself on the mirror just to be sure my face still looked presentable then I undid two buttons on my lace top.
I cat walked to the elevator as people stared at me, I smiled at some of them, there were a bunch of people in the elevator, mostly cute guys but none of them could compare to my Chard, when it opened on the 10th Floor I went straight to Chard's office .
Maria wasn't on her desk and Chard's office was slightly opened so I peeped through and almost yelled out in anger when I saw Chard and Maria kissing, my heart was burning with anger but I composed myself and knocked twice.
"Come in" Chard called a few minutes later
I furiously walked in, but I faked a smile when I reached his table, I didn't want him to think I was dramatic so I calmly smiled at them.
"Morning Miss Munanga" he greeted
"Morning Chard"
"It's Mr. Kapambwe" Maria corrected
Under different circumstances I would have slapped Maria but I didn't want to be kicked out on my first day.
"Oh my bad" I responded sarcastically
"Maria can you please get Miss Munanga acquainted with this place and also give her the document that states her job description" he told her without paying attention to me.
"Sure thing" she smiled at him and he smiled back. How I hated that Maria girl, I had to do something to get her out of my way.
I followed Maria out, she took me to different offices and introduced me to a number of people who I didn't pay attention to nor did I even care to master their names, all I was thinking off was Chard, his skin on mine his hands stroking my face and doing different kinds of naughty things in his office.
"Miss Munanga did you hear what I said?" Maria said disrupting me from my thoughts
"Oh sorry you were saying?"
"This is work time, stop day dreaming and pay more attention to what you are here for" she rolled her eyes at me as she handed me a flash disk.
"What is this for?"
"If only you weren't day dreaming you would have heard me the first time, anyway this flash contains the monthly reports from Different Departments that we have here, we had a meeting about two weeks ago so you need to go through the reports and if they are no errors email them to Mr. Kapambwe and me so I can make copies. There is a desk that has been set for you in Mr. Kapambwe's Office you will find all the important email addresses on the Computer that is there.
"Okay" I said
"And please next time dress a little more formal this is not a brothel"
I looked at her angrily but didn't respond, I walked back to Chard's office I sat down at my desk and switched on the Computer. Chard was busy on the phone, he talked for a while jotting down a few things on the note book that was on his desk, I watched how his lips moved when he talked, the gestures his hands made when he was explaining something and I found everything cute, after he dropped the call he instantly started typing, he didn't even say anything to me, it's like I didn't exist and that hurt me to the core so I stood up and walked to his table.
"What can I do for you Miss?"
"Chard, i
He didn't even allow me finish my sentence. "Like Maria said, it's Mr. Kapambwe and please behave yourself if you want to keep this job whatever happened between us was a mistake that won't repeat its self"
"Chard why do you choose to hurt me this way?" I asked as tears threatened to fall off my face
"Nora if you continue with this nonsense I will have no option but to transfer you to another office, I can't deal with dramatic women, can you understand we just had sex and it ended there"
What do you do when the one you love doesn't love you back? All my life I had never paid any attention to love, all I did was flirt and play because most men just loved me for my money I didn't think I would get to a point where I would fall deeply for someone like I did for Chard and I wouldn't allow this one chance at happiness to pass me by, I would make him fall for me by force.
"Get back to work" he shook me after some minutes
"I love you Chard and I swear I won't give up on us" I said and went back to my desk
"Whatever" he yelled
I had the longest day ever, I couldn't even pay attention to the reports and Maria was on my back because she wanted to make copies, Chard on the other hand didn't pay any little attention to me. At lunch time Maria walked into the office with lunch and they sat by his desk and ate together, I liked how close they were that's what I wanted to have with Chard, they looked all cozy eating and chatting about God knows what. I didn't feel like eating so I sat by my desk and watched them like a homeless kid.
It's like Chard was deliberately trying to hurt me with his actions but I had to have the last laugh in all this. I got my phone and called Dad's line but it took me straight to voicemail then I angrily typed him a text.
"Dad I have a situation that needs to be sorted out ASAP, please get back to me when you see this text" I read it one more time and smiled at myself as I pressed send.

I have met a lot of ladies, had sex with a number and dumped most of them like trash but no one has ever been as clingy as Nora, I was so irritated with her behavior and I knew she dressed like that just so she could seduce me, I won't lie she had a cute body and I would have loved to burry myself deep in her like I did last time but her attitude was not sexy so I decided I wasn't going to fall for her little traps. I had lunch with Maria in my office and we kept whispering into each other's eyes, I knew Nora was burning with anger, I needed her away from me I needed her to get the message that I didn't like her.
After lunch I got back to work and remembered I had to have dinner with Faith so i called her just to be sure she hadn't bailed out on me.
"Hey sexy" I greeted
"Hey handsome"
"I missed you how's the day going"
"Miss you more the day is going on great, just trying to settle in at work"
"Oh you are working?"
"Yes I am the working with MTN Zambia on a project"
"Oh how wonderful, are we still on for dinner?"
"Of course we, I will send you directions of where I am staying"
"Oh you are not at mum's place?"
"Nah am too old to be staying with mum"
"See you later then"
"Can't wait"
After I hang up on the phone, I locked eyes with Nora who had been staring at me for a while I looked the other side and continued what I was doing. By 16 hours I was ready to leave the office.
"Lock up when you are done here and hand the keys to Maria" I told her as I wore my jacket
"OK sir"
I walked out, pecked Maria on her lips and left. When I got home I watched some movies then refreshed myself and got ready for dinner.

I smiled at myself after i finished preparing dinner, despite me growing up from a rich family, I knew my way around the kitchen because mum always told me the way to a man's heart was through his stomach , I wanted Chard to see me as a real Zambian woman, a woman worthy to be called his wife,
I cooked Lumanda mixed with groundnuts, I also prepared him some dry fish and Nshima his mother had told me how much he loved Lumanda and dry fish.
I had played too much in life and it was time for me to settle, most of my friends where already married and some had kids, It had been so hard for me to find myself a man to settle down with but when mum mentioned Chard and sent me his photos I instantly agreed to come back for him. I wasn't going to waste any time once he put a ring on my finger we would start with the wedding preparations.
I cleaned the kitchen after cooking then took a bath, I wore a long black dress, with black slippers since we would just be home there was no need to be over dressed, I neatly clipped my weave behind and sat down to patiently wait for Chard.
I heard a car drive in at around 19:30 so I stood up and went to open the door for him.
"Hey you" I said as I hugged him, he smelled so divine I could spend days inhaling that scent of his.
"Hey beautiful" he said after breaking off the hug
"Come in, welcome to my humble home"
"Wow I love what you have done to this house" he smiled
"Thanx" I responded
"You are always welcome my lady"
"Awwwwww" I blushed
We talked for a while, we got to know each other at a personal level then after a while I served us dinner and invited him to the table.
"Wow you cooked my favorite?" He grinned
"I did, try it" I said as I dished for him
I also dished for myself and we started eating, we quietly ate and he only broke the silence after he finished eating.
"Wow I didn't know you could cook this good"
"Impressed?" I asked
"More than impressed" he smiled
After eating we sat by the couch I put on a movie so we could watch, we sat next to each other and I kept brushing myself against him as he played with my hair for a while before turning me to him, he pulled me close to him and we stared at each other for a while, I felt my tummy turning in excitement and I couldn't take it anymore so I pressed my lips against his and we started kissing with intensely. I had him exactly where I wanted him to be.
