The evening was perfectly planned, the food was also amazing, I sat next to faith while eating and we kept stealing short glances at each other once in a while. After the dance floor was opened, we danced a bit and faith finally pulled me away from the crowd, we went to sit by the pool side.
"So Chard, I finally get to meet you, I have heard a lot of things about you"
"Hopefully nice things" I chuckled
"Well let's just say I am impressed"
"I see, I was equally told a number of things by my mother and I am happy to finally meet you"
"I see so from mum's point of view, we are practically engaged"
"Engaged?" I asked surprised
"Well not officially but traditionally since our parents choose us for each other" she smiled
"You mean you have no problem with your mum choosing a partner for you?"
"Not if he is as handsome are you are" she said touching my lips with one of her fingers
I didn't say anything but stared at her for a while.
"You see Chard the only reason I came back here is to get married, I would have married a white man but then I decided to come back here and settle down with someone from my roots, I am done with all the flirting and playing hence I took up mum's offer to get married to you. I liked you the first time I saw your photos and I believe you will make a great husband"
"Marriage is not part of my plan to be honest with you, what makes you so sure I will marry you because our mothers say so?"
"Do you have a choice?"
"Well I am a grown up man, I don't let mum dictate to me"
"Can you resist this?" she asked pressing my hand on her bare thigh
"Holy shit" I cursed
Touching her skin made my blood pressure rise, I was instantly turned on there was so much I wanted to do to her right there and if she wanted to play the engaged game then hell yes we could play it for a while"
"Well it depends with what more you have to offer" I sighed
"I am all yours Chard, to have and to hold" she whispered in my ears
"Marriage is a big commitment Faith" I whispered stammered
"We could try date for a while and see where it leads us to"
"I will have to think about it" I said as I pressed my lips on hers
I kissed her with so much urgency as I caressed her thighs, I wanted to have her right there on the grass but we were interrupted by my sister's voice.
"Chard" she called out
We quickly stood up, composed ourselves and rushed to where Maya was.
"There you are" she said as she saw me
"Hey you" I said facing down
"Mum says we have to get going" Maya said paying no attention to Faith
"Faith, meet my twin sister Maya"
"Hi Faith, Happy Birthday once more it's nice to see you once again, Chard you will find us in the car" she said and walked out
"She doesn't like me?" Faith asked
"I think she is just tired" I lied
I knew Maya didn't like Faith, they met way back because mum apparently wanted them to be friends but they didn't click so they friendship never happened and now that she was back I could see my sister still disliked her.
"Hey let me get going, I will see you some other time" I said as I pecked her lips but she pulled me to her and we shared yet another intense kiss.
"Let's have dinner at my house tomorrow evening" she said
"I am spending the weekend at mum's lets have dinner on Monday"
"If you say so, here is my card in case you change your mind and please do call me so I can save your line"
"Aright thanks for the great evening, I am looking forward to more great evenings"
"And we will sure have many of them once we get married" she winked at me as I went to the car.
Did she sweep me of my feet? No, she was just like the rest ready to have me to herself, the only difference was that she knew exactly what she wanted, marriage but could I willing to go that far? I got in the car and quietly drove us back home, I could feel mum's gaze on me I knew she had a lot to ask but waited till we got home.
When we got to the house, Dad wasn't around so we all sat in the living room. I poured us some wine and switched on the TV so we could watch a movie.
"So how did it go with Faith?" Mum asked
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean, did you guys talk? Do you like her?"
"I like her but not enough to marry her "
"Chard you aren't getting any younger, you need to get married Faith is a great lady, she comes from a respectable family I have no doubt she will make you happy"
"But mum do you have to force her on him?" Maya asked
"And you too need to be thinking of settling down, not jumping from one man to another, can't you be like Olivia?"
Maya rolled her eyes at mum and I started laughing.
"It's not time to laugh, if you don't like her then bring me a girl you like, I won't sit down and watch you change girl's everyday least you get sick"
"I will meet Faith, get to know her and will see where things will lead" I told mum because I didn't want her worrying about me.
"That's better" she smiled
"So Maya why don't you like Faith?"
"Chard don't start with me oh, I will punch you"
"As if you can punch anyone" mum laughed
After talking for some time we finally retired for bed. I remembered I needed to call Faith and I did just that, she picked up instantly and we talked for a while, maybe she wasn't all that bad, I mean there was more to relationships that love, if she liked me and I liked her back then we could make something work, I just needed to find out how good she was in bed cause there was no way I was going to waste my time on a woman that can't perform to my specifications.

I woke up early and went to sit by the lounge then Maya joined me shortly.
"Morning fool" she greeted
"Respect little girl I am your elder brother"
"Ah please, elder brother indeed"
"How was your night?"
"It was great, hey did you hear dad come home last night?"
"No I didn't I was even about to ask you the same question"
"Oh so he slept out, since when does he sleep out?"
"I wouldn't know will ask mum about it later"
A few minutes later we heard the car drive in then I heard Olivia's voice.
"Gosh it's going to be a long weekend "I sighed
We stood up and went to receive Olivia who had just walked in carrying Zoe as the maid helped with her bags.
"Look what we have here, if it isn't my kid brother and sister" she said when she saw us
"Olivia we are not kids anymore" I frowned
"Chard you will always be a kid to me stop the frowning and get Zoe, she is heavy you know?"
"Hey baby, how is my favorite niece doing?" I greeted Zoe and she giggled
"Gosh it feels good to be in my mama's house, Maya my baby how are you?"
"I am fine, Olivia what did you bring us?"
"You and presents, I bought a whole lot of stuff but first I need to rest, where is mum?"
"She is taking a bath"
"And dad?"
"No idea" I responded
Mum came downstairs and found us watching Joyful noise and I could see the smile on her face.
"Just like the old days" she said as she squeezed herself on my chair.
"Olivia, how was the drive?" she asked as I handed Zoe to her
"It was just okay mama, how are you?"
"I am fine my child"
We spent the weekend indoors bonding, watching TV, cooking, cleaning up the house like we did when we were young and that mum very happy.
There is no better place than home, home is where one finds peace, comfort and love, that's exactly what I felt the entire weekend, being my mother's baby and arguing with my siblings, sometimes getting irritated but at the end of the day there was nowhere else I would have rather spent my weekend than in the presence of the ones I love.
"I will miss you guys please take care of mum" Olivia said as she hugged us on Sunday afternoon when she was about to leave for Kitwe.
"We will do just that and take care of our Zoe" Maya responded
"I will come spend some time here when I go on leave then we can all spend more time together"
"It was nice spending time with you, drive safely" I kissed her goodbye.
Maya and I also said bye to mum and left. I drove Maya to her house before going to mine. When I got home I talked to Faith a bit then slept, I woke up in the evening freshened up and drove to my best friend's house for some guys night out.

I was in bed, staring at the photo that Jacob sent me, the photos of Chard's sisters. I was hurt that Chard and his twin sister had chosen to humiliate me in such a manner. Did he hate me that much?
"Dinner is ready" Nicole said when she entered my room, she saw the photo I was holding and grabbed it from me.
"Don't tell me you still have your heart on a married man"
"Can you imagine this is actually his twin sister and not his wife? Chard played with me" I told her
Instead of responding Nicole started laughing which got me irritated. "Forgive me if I find this funny but seriously Nora forget about this guy, if he could go as far as this it's clear he doesn't want you"
"Nicole you can laugh all you want but be rest assured I will have the last laugh, I will have Chard" I said as I stood up, I packed the photos under the bed and walked out as Nicole followed by closely.
After eating I went back to my room, I was glad that woman was actually Chard's sister at least that meant I only had the secretary to deal with. I opened my closet so I could select the clothes I was going to wear the next day, I got a black long skirt that had a zip at the corner, a white office shirt that showed a bit of my cleavage and black stilettos, I neatly placed everything on the other bed since I had two beds in my room. I couldn't wait for the next day, I was going to seduce Chard till I had him where I wanted him to be.

"Chard, you have been scarce who has been keeping you busy?" Chiwila asked as we drank our beer in his living room while watching some soccer.
"No one my man, how is Yvonne?"
"She is fine I am finally ready to take the next step with her I want to propose on her birthday"
"I salute you man, spending five years with one girl, gosh that's too much I can't handle I love to have variety"
"Wait till you fall in love"
"Nah love is not for people like me"
"So who are banging now?"
"Do you want a whole list or just a few from the list?"
"Now that's my man, you will never change Chard" Luis my other friend said as he walked in
"Luis my man you know how we do this, though that Sophia girl managed to tame you for a while, I can't believe you were almost marrying her"
"I did feel deeply for that girl my man just that I couldn't eat one type of meat, you know I also like variety"
"So how are the kids and Janice?" Chiwila asked
"They are fine"
"Why don't you make things official with her by marrying her?" he asked

We hit our fists together and laughed at that, we have always been playing the three of us me Luis and Chiwala but only Chiwila had managed to be with one girl at a time, Luis was almost married at one point but the lady left him when she found out about his other woman.
"Honestly Chard you need to settle down, you are not growing any younger you know?"
"I might settle down soon" I said sarcastically
"That would make headlines" Luis laughed
I narrated all I had to about Faith and Chiwila was against the whole idea.
"Chard marriage is not all about sex, you can't marry her based on how good she is in bed, what of love?" "My man, that love thing is not for me, if I should settle down then let it be with this chick"
"My man if the women throw themselves at you, do them justice give them what they want"
"I always tell this man here that some women are only good for sex, I mean what guarantee do I have that if I marry her she won't throw herself at the next guy she meets?"
"You are too much Chard" Chiwala said
After drinking a few bottles and eating dinner, I drove back home, I needed rest because I had work the next day.
