Chapter 27 -E*3

Austin's POV

Ella looks so beautiful in her sleep. She looks so peaceful like nothing in life has ever gone wrong, even though her and I both know many things have. She has a slight smile playing in her lips, leaving me to wonder what she is dreaming about.

I look at my phone and it reads 12:58. Why can't I sleep? It's not like I'm uncomfortable, I've slept here for a couple days now.

I look over at Ella and see that a piece of hair has fallen into her face and I push it back hoping to not wake her up. She doesn't awake but she does roll away so she's not facing me anymore. I put my arm around her waist and pull her close and I feel her grip tighten on my arm. Holding her like this helps me feel like I can protect her, and lets me drift into a nice peaceful sleep.

I wake up with my arm still draped around Ella and pull it away as best I can so she doesn't wake up. At the last second she rolls over and opens her eyes slowly.

"Good morning." She says a smile on her face.

I've never understood how she can smile so early in the morning. Although she just woke up she still looks beautiful. There is a ray of sun from the sunrise illuminating her face causing her to look as if she is glowing.

"Morning." I say back to her. "You ready to go in the city today?" I ask her.

"I'm excited to see you allow someone to add highlights to your hair." She chuckles a little.

"I don't know how you got me to agree to add that to the list." I tell her. "Same with get a good tan. Did you brainwash me somehow? Are you an alien?" I ask causing her to laugh.

"Go get dressed Mister. I'll wait back here." She says and I go get changed.

When I'm finished I bring her suitcase around the back so she can get changed.

"Come to the front when you are ready." I tell her and walk away.

Not soon after she slips into the front seat beside me ready to go.

"Remind me after breakfast that I need to get some gas." I say hoping that one of us will remember.

"I'll try to remember. You know how my amazing my memory is." She says and we both laugh.

We go grab some breakfast and Ella actually remembers to remind me to get gas for the truck. We then drive into the city of Trebnot. It's not that big of a city but it has everything that we need to do in it.

"Are we getting our hair done or our tans done first?" Ella asks me as we drive into the downtown.

"We are getting our hair done first, so look for a place called Carl's Cutz." I tell her as we get out of the truck and start walking downtown.

Ella soon spots it and we cross the street to get there. We booked our appointment ahead of time, so when walk in and see that it is empty we aren't surprised. After a second we are greeted by a guy.

"Why hello darlings! You must be Ella and Austin, right?" He asks and Ella and I exchange a look.

"Yes that would be us." Ella says after a few seconds of silence.

"I am Carl! What can I do for you two today?" He asks standing at a counter.

"We are here to get highlights in our hair." I respond to him.

"I would like some honey coloured highlights and Austin wants some that'll change his hair as little as possible." Ella tells the guy.

"Sounds great! I can get you two started right away. I'll go get some stuff from the back. You two go sit in those two chairs." He tells us gesturing to two hair washing chairs along the wall.

Soon he comes out of the back with another worker, who is a female, and what I suspect is the dye for mine and Ella's hair. The female worker comes over to me and Carl goes to Ella.

"Hi! I'm Natalie." She introduces herself. "I suggest taking your coat off so I can wash your hair." She tells me and I place it beside me.

She lays me down and starts washing my hair.

"You have such beautiful hair Ella!" I hear Carl say beside me. "So soft, you must take really good care of it. Is it natural?" He asks her.

"Ya I don't do anything special with it ever really." She tells him.

"Ok you can get up and go to that seat over there." Natalie tells me pointing at a chair across the room.

I walk over and soon Ella is finished and sitting next to me once again. We both get our hair done, while having interesting conversations between the four of us. I have to admit that my hair doesn't look that bad because Natalie puts in a colour that is only a couple shades lighter then my natural hair. Ella with the honey highlights in her blonde hair looks gorgeous, and I can't help but stare.

"Oh god it looks bad doesn't it." Ella worries when she notices me looking.

"No you look beautiful." I tell her and she quickly turns to hide the blush that has come across her face.

"Thanks Austin." She says a small smile on her face.

"Anytime. Now how about I go pay and we go get our tans?" I ask her and she nods.

We wall a couple shops over and quickly find the tanning place. We walk in and instantly greeted by people with overdone orange tans.

"I hope I don't look that ridiculous when they're done with me." I say and Ella slaps me as her way of telling me to shut up.

We are soon escorted to separate rooms where we get our tans done. I finished first and wait for Ella back in the lobby. She walks out of the back and looks amazing. Her once pale skin has a bit of a glow, and she doesn't in anyway look overdone. I pay for us and we leave, conversing about what happened to us in there. We then go to our last stop of the day, the fortune teller. We are greeted by a woman who wears many layers of clothes and many necklaces and bracelets. The room is all dark except for the candles illuminating it, but that hardly does anything. We get our palms read and she looks into the crystal ball to tell us our futures. We both laugh as we walk out; knowing that what the lady told us is a bunch of lies. We go get dinner and decide to call it a night lying down in the back of the truck once again.

(A/N: What an exciting day the two of them had! I'm so glad they went on this trip them seem to be enjoying themselves. Next chapter they'll be doing yet another item from the list. So until then.
