Jay Weinbergs POV
Being the new drummer for Slipknot was daunting task. Joey was very loved, even you loved Joey. Things seemed to be working out though. You were making your mark on Slipknot. Everybody was pretty nice and you really enjoyed this major opportunity. But something felt a little off. Often times Corey would be watching you. You caught him staring at you during practices or even just hanging in the studio. You shrugged it off and just figured he's making sure the new guy was up to the task. But also there was another new guy and seemed like Corey wasn't watching him as closely. You didn't think much of it and didn't let it bother you.

It was another show. You were playing along focusing. You could hear Corey singing but you couldn't see him on stage. You thought it was a little weird but drumming was more important. The song ended and you took a deep breath. You suddenly felt like a pair of eyes was burning into your back. You turned around and almost dropped your drum sticks. Corey was standing over you, watching your every move. His old man mask made it just a little bit more creepy.
"You scared me a little bit." You said lightly.
"Good." Corey whispered.
You furrowed your brows together. Corey couldn't see it most likely because of your mask.
"Why are you still standing there don't we have to get the show on?" You asked a little more aggressively than you wanted to.
Corey continued to stare at you and it made you nervous. Sure you were taller than him but still. Corey leaned in close and whispered something in your ear.
"Every breath you take, every move you make, every bond you break, every step you take, I'll be watching you." Corey whispered in your ear.
It sent shivers down your spine. Corey walked away and began his usual talk before the next song. What the fuck, you thought to yourself as you got ready to play heretic anthem.
