Your POV
Being the new kid at school wasn't easy. Especially since your parents decided to move in the middle of the year from the big city to a small town in Iowa. Out of all the places your parents could have chosen they chose Iowa. There's nothing to do in Iowa, you complained to yourself. You looked down at your schedule to figure out where your next class was. But it dawned on you that you were lost. You grew nervous as you wandered around the school aimlessly trying to find your class. Suddenly you heard other people speaking. You figured you could ask them for help. You peaked around the corner and saw three guys. The two bigger ones seemed to be cornering the smaller one.
"What did your fucking parents feed you? Why are you so fucking tiny?" One of the guys teased.
The smaller guy had his hair falling in his face. He didn't respond, he just clutched the strap of his backpack. The bigger guy pushed him and he knocked over the trash can.
"Hey!" You called out.
All three of them turned around and looked at you.
"Leave him alone." You said bravely.
"Are you gonna make me?" The big guy taunted you.
"No but my fists will." You replied.
You ended up decking both guys in the face. It was really easy to beat them up. They were both pretty stupid. You sent the big guys running down the hallway. You then turned your attention to the smaller guy. He was sitting on the ground brushing some hair out of his face.
"Are you ok?" You asked as you crouched down.
The guy ended up hissing at you. It surprised you a little as you looked at him weirdly.
"Um?" You replied confused.
"Go away." The guy snapped.
"I just beat up those guys for you." You said annoyed.
The guy looked up at you. He was really almost cat like with his big eyes.
"I like your Mötley Crüe shirt." You said trying to start a conversation.
He smiled a little.
"Thanks, my names Joey." Joey introduced himself.
"My names (y/n)." You replied.
You shook hands with Joey. From that day on, you became good friends with Joey. The more you hung out with Joey, the more you saw how cool he was. He had a good music taste and he could play drums really good. People would just bully him because he was short and the way he dressed. The definitive to describe the way he dressed would probably be mall goth. From the hair to the Tripp pants to the band teeshirts he was a mall goth. You dressed normally or what society would call normal so people side eyed you two in the hallways. But you didn't mind, he was still a cool friend anyways. One day Joey invited you to hang out. You showed up early to his house because you figured why wait. His mom let you in and you walked up the stairs. You knocked on the door. Korn could be heard being played very loudly. Joey didn't open the door so you did it yourself. You slowly opened the door and saw Joey in the most interesting outfit. It was a maid costume with cat ears and tail. You tried your best to hold back laughter. Joey whipped around clearly embarrassed.
"Hey." You said.
"Hi." Joey replied cautiously.
"Playing a little dress up?" You asked.
"Uh yeah." Joey answered hesitantly.
You just stared at each other for a moment.
"I like the tail." You complimented him.
"Thanks." Joey said.A/N: hey I'm back! I'm so sorry I went on a surprise hiatus. But I'm back and writing stories again. So I hope you enjoy this one.
