Chapter 27

It was evening by the time they reached Sonmarg which is situated in the range of Himalayas.
They all decided to visit Thajiwas Glacier point by trekkers instead taking transportation offered by locals.It was 3kms away .All started to trek ,Manik didn't left Nandini's hand even for once . After reaching more than half distance they saw tents where Maggi,tea and Coffee are sold. Eating Maggi along with tea they resumed their walk.

Reaching at the piont they enjoyed Snow slide with the help of locals.They again started to walk back.Reaching they settled in the camp which were safe as this is a famous tourist spot ,they were also some resorts .
Manik and Nandini settled in one tent ⛺ and the two girls in one the four boys in two tents.

Walking around they reached the restaurant and had their dinner . Reaching the camp all left to the respective tents.

Nandini settled herself inside as Manik went to take a call.10 mins passed but Manik still didn't return. Anxious ,Nandini went outside closing their tent to search for Manik to see him looking at the hills as if he is thinking something deeply.

Reaching him Nandini placed her hand on Manik startling him.

God Nandini my heartbeat skipped for a second.

Sorry,but you didn't come even after so much time so I came in search of you.

I am sorry for taking so much time, were you afraid enquired Manik.

Nothing like that Manik I was just worried as you were not coming inside.

It's just a call from office .

Oh Rahul.

No Mr.Arjun Shetty the person who came in the place of Cabir as COO.

Ohhh is there any problem,you looked like you were in deep thoughts.

Nothing it's just little different to see another person in place of Cabir.

Then may be you should have asked him to stay.

No I can't . You Know Nandini we both share same date of birth except for the month, that idiot is a month younger than me.Same school ,same college ,same first job place.He was there with me in every step of my life taking risks along with me.

Nandini moved a little near to Manik half hugging him.

Manik continued, after completion our graduation we three (Manik,Cabir and Dhruv) did our first job in Bangalore.We all were placed in same city same office. After working for one and half year and writing GRE ,Cabir and I got selection in Harvard Business School and Dhruv in UCLA . Different universities and about that we couldn't do anything so we joined there.We completed our first year and got ready for summer internship.I clearly remember some of us students were enjoying drinking, partying on the weekend.I suddenly got a call from Mishra uncle ,Dad's p.a .
I was little worried as uncle was calling me on a weekend.It felt like something bad has happened, you know Nandini what uncle said to me (with a shivering voice) "Manik beta jaldi India aajao Dad  ka accident hogaya hein yaha pe tumhara jaroorat hein" .I couldn't listen half of his words I was stuck at Dad's  accident .Cabir too came looking for me and seeing me like that he took the phone from me talked to Uncle.He was shaking me but I couldn't respond to him, I thought about mom who was alone here I just wanted to fly immediately to her and hear that this is all fake.(By now nandini was crying silently listening to him , wiping her tears along with Manik's nandini placed her head on his shoulders.)  Cabir just dragged me outside , he booked to two tickets for next flight to India.He packed some luggage for both of us,I don't really remember that journey it was all blur to me.I just wanted to see Dad .After reaching India we directly went to hospital. Mom was sitting with the support of chachi (Cabir's mom),Vedhant uncle, Saxena uncle were there. Mom was just staring into oblivion with dried tears.I couldn't see her like that,Dad was in the room still under observation as his condition didn't improve . Hugging mom she just broke down , controling my self I tried to calm her down.After sometime Chacha (Cabir's Dad) came with Papa  (Nandini's Dad) . Patting my back Papa  went inside to check upon Dad.

After  some tests and seeing the reports they said that he was out of danger. That was a sigh of relief .Sending mom to home with Chachi and Vedhant uncle went with Papa(Murthy uncle) to talk about Dad's condition in detail. Looking at Dad who appeared weak to me I just sat down there and released my tears .Cabir and Saxena Uncle just sat beside me silently supporting me. After sometime Chacha came near me and asked me to be strong . (Nandini was listening to Manik silently without interrupting him. ) I just wanted all that to be a dream but it all felt like a nightmare .After that Papa was shifted to the room from ICU. After two days there was another storm in the company.All got to know about Dad's accident and he required some time to recover. There were so many speculations in the market.Mishra uncle came near me with some documents where I will the temporary CEO .That was a big blow to me.I was not in a condition to think properly and he was giving whole company's future into my hands.But seeing some vultures in the company I couldn't see the name and fame which were created by Papa crumble.I decided to talk to the company in US where I should be attended internship and tell them about my reason for my absence.It was a big ruckus as I gave the intimation to them lately.Telling them about my condition and convincing somehow I managed them. We even forgot to inform Dhruv about this,by the time he got to know ,Dad's condition was better so we denied him from coming India.Next day when I reached office Cabir was there wearing formals standing along with the administration department.I didn't get anything what was going in his mind.When I asked him to return and do his internship he said that he will be with me , he was strong on his decision not to go and even Chacha too supported him.That whole period he was there with me like a shadow.

There are no words to thank him and when he said to me that he wants to start a Music Company I really happy for him(completing Manik felt light and thanked the God for giving such a good souls as friends and family).

Manik promising him silently to be with him in his every step guarding him. Smiling Manik placed his hands over hers. Then and there he knew that he should be thanking God again for sending Nandini for him and they both together gonna create a beautiful future for themselves in which there will be happiness, sadness, their ego's, their tempers, fights but in all they will be together as a team .

Both stood there for sometime , Nandini started to talk about something else diverting him and making him laugh successfully.

Standing there for some more time they retired to the tent.
