Chapter 38

Whole morning Nandini and Manik spent time by seeing family albums of Murthys.

Manik and Nandini reached their room after that.They say in the balcony in a comfortable and peaceful silence. Nandini laid her head on his shoulders and closed her eyes.Manik adjusted her head on his chest and sat there closing his eyes comfortable.Nandini looked at Manik lifting her head who already slipped into slumber looking cute. She lightly have him a peck on his chin and slept listening to Manik's heartbeat.

An hour passed and Nandini got up from her sleep and tried to detach herself from Manik without disturbing him. She went to her parents room and Manik too got up from sleep feeling empty beside him.Learning she is in her parents room he went near abhi and Aru.

Nandini later accompanied Avni to kitchen to help her in lunch preparation.There Avni said to Nandini that her athamma (Sunitha) and Mama are coming for dinner which spoiled Nandini's mood.But she just gave a nod to her mother and concentrated on her work.

Calling everyone for lunch and set the table.Serving Manik and herself she started to play with her food.Seeing this Manik placed his hands on hers asking what happened.She just shook her head and Aru who saw this commented ''Looks like Nandu is missing being fed from her husband ''.
Causing everyone to smile and Nandini kicked his leg.

Nandini was setting the table for dinner when her athamma and Mama came . Greeting them Nandini went to call everyone down.Avni too greeted them coming from kitchen.

All of them settled in dining hall.Nandini served everyone and sat beside Manik .

Avni      : Sunitha when will Madyam return from his honeymoon?I thought of inviting them for dinner.

Sunitha :What to do vadina, as soon as his wife came he started to dance on her tunes.He says that he likes there and wants to shift to US.He even says that they are more comfortable there than his own house near his parents. These days girls are like that only.And talking about inviting them for dinner even Nandini didn't come to our house after her marriage, it's nearly 3-4 months has passed.

Nandini taking a deep breath answered,"I went to the people who called us, you have not invited us and we didn't came.Simple."

Sunitha :This is not the way to talk to elders.What will your in-laws think about your parents especially my brother that he didn't gave you any manners and vadina this is all your fault only.You people just kept her on head.

Manik who looked at Nandin saw that her eyes were turning mist . Clenching his jaw Manik replied in a rigid tone" See aunty in our home my mom and dad really adore Nandini a alot and see her as their daughter only so there is no question of they thinking bad about Mumma and Papa.And talking about sons changing after marriage,I think it's just a stupid statement.When there is person who comes to stay with us leaving her whole life behind just thinking about one person who is her husband, I think it's nothing wrong if that husband gives his 100% to make her comfortable. And let your son Madyam take decision about his life Talking about we coming to your home I'll go with what my wife said."

Sunitha opened her eyes and mouth listening to Manik's speech looking totally comical.

Listening to her husband's laugh who tried to cover it with a cough when she glared at him.

Sunitha :Hmph .... I really pity your mother Manik,she doesn't know that her son is slipping from her hands and lecturing others how to treat their wife.

Manik   : You don't worry for my parents,jo bhi sikah hain unhi se hi sikah hain (Whatever I leaned it's from them only)And it's not a lecture,this is basic which every mother should give to his son at the time of marriage as my Mom gave me and in your case it should be after marriage as you know why .

Twisting her mouth Sunitha completed her dinner and her husband really felt happy that Nandini got such a good husband and blessed them silently.

But the Murthy's were overwhelmed with Manik's care towards their daughter.Then and there they knew that they couldn't bring Nandini a better husband.Avni silently wiped her tears which were slipping from her eyes and gave her husband a pat on his hands not to cry.Abhi and Aru were happy that there will is someone their Nandu to support her every time.

Nandini was literally floating on sky with Manik's care on her.Controlling her emotions she too continued her dinner.

After eating Sunitha and her husband took their leave.Her husband kept 5 2000 notes in Nandini's hand when they took their blessings.

After servants came and cleaned the place,all went to their rooms except our sweet couple.

Mishti I'll just come you go to our room and sleep said Manik.

What...where are you going at this time Manik asked Nandini.

Nothing Nandini I'll just come within few minutes.

No way... I'll not send you.Did you see the weather it may rain anytime Manik.Its not safe.

Taking her into his arms , Promise I'll come, I just need to have a drive and cool my mind Mishti said Manik kissing her forehead.

Nandini too accepted reluctantly.

It has been more than half an hour but Manik was still not home and he left his mobile in the room only.Nandini is pacing to and fro in her balcony looking outside her Manik's car.

Here Manik was driving in the rain but he was not able to cool his mind.It was still disturbed with that aunt's rant.Checking that it has been more than half an hour Manik took a U-turn  and was driving fastly as he knew Nandini would be tensed.

Nandini was on the verge of crying ,she didn't know what to do.Slowly bad thoughts started to come and the rain was not taking any rest. Listening to the car's sound which was passing the mansions gate Nandini harshly wiped her tears and ran outside .

Manik too was in jaldi to his cute wife who would be boiling in anger by now.Parking the car he was coming but suddenly he was dragged down by his collar and his face was pushed to other side with a force.
