Chapter 21- Shadows P.1

Monsters are usually found in the shadows. But it doesn't exactly means we like to live in the darkness. We are scared more scared of you than you are scared of us. In the moment we come out to the light and we see the terror in your eyes, we feel reject, unwanted. We attack to have the power and lock deep inside our fear of rejection.
-My sister asked me to meet her here, but I don't see her- I said
-My sister and Ruby are in the same classroom- Andrew said
-How's that even possible?, Elsa is a year younger than Ruby- I said
-But my sister is smart, AP classes- Andrew said proud of his sister
-I need to spend more time with her- I said
-Actually she is the one who admires me- Andrew said
My heart suddenly melt, Elsa admired me, but what for. I was happy, I can take care of her like I couldn't do with Ruby. It made me feel good, that she felt that way about me.
-Angel!!- Andrew said
-What I was thinking- I said
-I can see that- Andrew said
The bell rang, Andrew took me by the hand and we walked to a classroom.
-Welcome parents....- The woman said
-Sister- I interrupted
-Well family members, this reunion is to know each other and create a relationship between parents and teachers to help our kids get a better future- the woman said
-Family members- I said just to piss her off
-Thank you...- The woman said, which later I found out was the principal
-Angel- I said
-Did you went to school here?- Principal asked
-No but if I had you would remember me by now, I would be in your office all the time, my mama said I'm a troublemaker- I said
I think the principal didn't know what to say so after a long pause I said
-Continue with your inspiring speech- I said
-Well family members we also want to thanks you for all you hard work, advice and help you gave and give to our students with their projects and the choices they have to make as a student, a teenager and a human being in general- Principal said
-That definitely isn't about my sister- I told Andrew, who was sitting next to me
-High school was so fun back then I wish I could go back, did you want to go back?- Andrew asked me on a lower voice because the woman still was talking about how thankful she is
-I never went to high school, I had to learn by myself on libraries, legends, even if I don't look like I spend a lot of time reading books, I mean I have all the time in the world- I said
-What about campus?- Andrew asked
-Yeah I took a course of photography- I said
-Whoa you have many surprises, one of you many talents- Andrew said
-I don't have that many- I said
-How many girls can say they fight against supernatural beings?, well even if you can't beat me yet- Andrew said
-Let's see about that Andy- I said
-Let's see- I said
After the women stopped talking, everybody left the room. We walked through the hallways to get to the exit. For a moment I felt I was walking alone when I looked back and saw Andrew trying to open a classroom door.
-What are you doing? let's go Andy- I said
-Have you ever done it in a classroom?- Andrew said without looking at me, he was still trying to open the door
-You lost your mine, we have to go, I need to talk to Mary, long time I don't know anything about my dad- I said
-It's open, come- Andrew said
-I'm not going in there- I said but he gabbed me by the hand and closed the door behind me.
When I'm with Andrew I lose track of time, that time wasn't any different.
-I have to go now- I said putting my top back on
-You know I feel used, you should use me more- Andrew said
-Andrew please- I said
He started walking toward me and I felt like a little girl in front of him. His lips crashed onto mine. My arms wrapped around his neck, I was sure I was losing myself in his arms again. I opened my eyes for a brief second and saw the unexplainable.
-Logan- I said
-Okay it's not sexy you say my brother's name while kissing me- Andrew said
-Logan is behind you- I said
-Hello Angel, Andy- Logan said
-I thought you were dead- I could see Andrew's expression, he was confused, between the happiness of seeing his brother again and the guilt he was feeling for practically betraying his brother with me.
-How this even possible?- Andrew said
-Don't get too excited brother, I'm still dead, I'm a ghost- Logan said
-Unless a witch made a spell....- Andrew said
-It was a witch and your father- Logan said looking at me
-He is looking for something in specific, a master dagger- Logan said
-What's that?- I asked
-Something that will take your powers away- Logan said
-What powers?- Andrew asked
-How do you know?- I asked and Andrew looked at me
-The good thing about being a ghost is we know everything because we walk among you guys and you don't even notice- Logan said
-I thought he wanted me to help him- I said
-He wanted it until he found out he could just take your abilities away- Logan said
-Do you know anything about Danielle?- I asked
-Your sister oh yeah but I'm not going to help you- Logan said
-Logan please- Andrew said
-I don't have to help you either, all my life my mother and I had been protecting you from this monsters and now you are with one- Logan said
-You're not any better- I said
-I thought you were mad by the fact that she's your ex- Andrew said
-Are you actually joking about this?- Logan asked
-I hope you had fun watching me having sex with all those other guys....- I said
-I'm right here- Andrew said
-That's what she does she uses guys and when she doesn't need them, she kills them, if I were you brother I will leave before it happens- Logan said
- Let's go we need to explain my sister before she sees our mom- Andrew said
-Haven't you told her about you being the killer of her family?- Logan mocked me
But there was nothing I could say, it was true and she would definitely hate me.
-Queen of shadows... I'm not the only one who's coming for you, you have so many enemies dead and they want revenge- Logan said before Andrew and I walked out of the door.
He was telling the truth if we could see the ghosts, I could see all the people I killed in my lifetime including Robert.
-Queen of shadows?- Andrew asked
-I was known by that name, I guess I still am- I said as we walked out of my sister's school
-But why?- Andrew asked
-After every death, I hid in the shadows, where anyone could see me cry- I said
- Because you felt remorse?- Andrew said
-No, I'm selfish, I was crying for me, because I felt alone, your brother is right, there's nothing good on me and you should leave before I hurt you- I said
-No I know there is good in you and I want to save it- Andrew said
-There's nothing to save, if someone does not want to change, the effort will be pointless- I said
-I'm not going anywhere and I will show you your true self-Andrew said
-Then you'll die trying, I'm going to Mary's house, you go to see your sister, tell her she can stay with the apartment, I'll crash in Megan's place or go to a hotel- I said
-We can talk to her together, she'll understand- Andrew said
-No she won't I killed her family and then lied about it, it's okay I'm used to people hating me, just be with her, she'll need you- I said
