The road most of the remaining few have traveled, is full of regret, pain and blood. The sight for sour eyes was the definition of insanity. Not all fell rock bottom but those who did, ended up in a much worse state.

The feeling of emptiness and loneliness devoured Mason and Enzo. Even though they had each other, something was missing. Something that could lighten up everything down their path and it had to last till their last breath left their bodies.

Back at the military camp, Adalia and Enzo were taken away by Commander Shepherd's unit. Alongside Commander Williamson's unit were a few rookies that didn't understand why they were taken away.

Adalia was tied to a pipe and so was Enzo underground. They heard gunfire above and screams of what they thought were dying Marines. They were being guarded by some other Marines while there's some fighting going up there.

Adalia looked around her and saw the scared rookies and Commander Williamson, who was beaten to a pulp. He was barely conscious as his face was bleeding and swollen. In front of her,she saw Enzo. He was calm and looking to cut himself loose. But Adalia didn't believe that he could do something like that and didn't pay much attention to him that much.

She moved a little bit and saw that her hands were tied with chains to a large sewer pipe. There was no possible way out for her and kept looking around for something to help her out.

She felt the rusty old chains around her wrists and noticed that it wasn't all that tight. She pulled a little bit on it and saw how her hands could be pulled out with enough force. Enzo looked at what she was doing and was worried that she'd fail.

"What are you doing?" Enzo whispered.

"Getting out of here." Said Adalia as she forcefully pulled her hands out of the chains.

Her hands started bleeding from the pulling but in the end,it worked. She then looked at her hands and gently touched it and grunted in soft pain. She looked over at Enzo and saw that his was tighter and all around his lower arm. She then looked if there was anyone that would see her but they were all busy talking. It was very dark so that helped a lot.

She tried to loosen Enzo's chains but it didn't work. It looked like she needed to cut it because it was tied confusingly.

"I need to find something to cut the chains with." Said Adalia.

"Do you see those guys out there? You'll get yourself killed." Said Enzo.

"Not likely." Said Adalia as she went over to the guarding Marines. She saw them talking and barely paying attention to the prisoners.

"I'd rather be up there goddammit. Guarding over prisoners like it's the 20th century. Fuck!!" Said one of the Marines that was guarding.

"That's true. I don't like it down here. Never did. Place wreaks of dead meat, shit!!" Said the other Marine.

Adalia looked for the perfect opportunity to strike as she stayed hidden in the dark areas. There were only 2 guarding Marines sitting at a table unaware of Adalia's presence.

She grabbed a loose metal pipe on the floor and hit the marine in the back of his head, killing him. She then swung again as the other Marine was too late to react. The force of Adalia's swing was enough to kill him as he fell on the floor.
