Some hours went by. Gideon and the others couldn't stop being on the run from the Red Raiders. They needed to figure something out as hiding forever wasn't an option.

Everybody was a bit talkative except Enzo. He still couldn't believe he lost his best friend. The one that stood by him through thick and thin. Through blood and sweat. Through war and peace. It just didn't feel right to him.

It made him remember something from his past. A statement of a girl he trusted a lot. A girl named Bethenny. She was of chaotic and innocent energy. Quite short too compared to everyone that was in the group that time. She had long silk black hair that reached her lower back. Thick brown lips that sparked a beautiful smile with frost white teeth.

Like Lexi, she didn't look her age. She looked more like a young woman than just a girl. She was also one of the bravest human beings that Enzo had ever seen.

Fearless in heart and lovable by nature. Her laugh was contagious and just couldn't be hated. Her voice as soft and elegant as an Angel. She was also one of the frontliners during her time with the group. But after they all were forced into the Red Raiders, she wasn't allowed to join their ranks.

Her and Enzo's relationship was comparable to that of Mason and Lexi. Super complicated but beautiful if executed correctly nonetheless. She had this weird thing of pinching Enzo's ears whenever they started a conversation, which he enjoyed by the way.

But beautiful souls don't last a beautiful lifetime. Her memories haunted Enzo at first but he moved on at a later time where it wouldn't become a problem anymore. A wonderful person to have on your side during tough times. But a regretful memory as she was one of Maddox's many victims.

-1 And A Half Year Ago-

Enzo had been beaten up pretty badly during his training sessions. He walked over angrily passed the group and Beth saw it. She envied him as a person for what he's going through. Not because she wasn't there for him most of the time, but because she was afraid to lose him.

She saw Enzo walk over to his room with small bruises and followed him. From the distance, she heard and saw his heavy and angry footsteps as he walked over to his room. When he bashed the door closed, she knocked and asked if she could come inside.

He didn't answer in frustration but she chose to open the door anyhow. She saw how beaten up his body was. Blue purplish spots all over his shoulder to his chest.

"You don't look alright." Said Beth as she closed the door and walked towards Enzo. "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the world's greatest detective." Said Enzo sarcastically as he wasn't in the mood for stating the obvious cliches.

Beth chuckled at Enzo's statement and went to sit next to him on the bed and examine his bruises. They were quite harsh as Beth looked at it. She used to clean up her sister's wounds but now...there's no reason for her to be getting those. So Beth's medical skills have been quiet for some time.

"I hate this place. Feels like..it might explode. Lots of strangers around too. Creepy looking ones." Said Beth frightened of the hideout of the Red Raiders. Enzo looked at her and kind of understood why she felt that way.

"Yeah, me too. But we have no other choice. We gotta...start over." Said Enzo as he looked into Beth's eyes. Beth got angry because Enzo wanted to move on just like that. "That piece of cocksucking SHIT, KILLED JAMES!!! Wha-...what..I...can't. I can't believe you just....ughh...said that." Said a frustrated Beth.
