Life doesn't always work out the way people want it too. It can take a whole 360° turn if someone's unlucky. But even if it succeeds, it still doesn't live up to exactly what the dreamers expected.

Mason sat there in that room, hearing voices all over. When he looked up, they went silent. He heard gunshots above, probably the remaining Raiders, fighting their way to a short freedom. He wondered what they had left to live for.

He stood up and went over to Clay. He didn't mean to do it. He missed an awful lot since he went missing. He Never knew that Enzo's father would still show. Even after all that, serving Maddox while he's the one responsible for the death of his ex wife and his one and only daughter.

He closed Clay's eyes as they were still open. Before he would go over to the stairs, he went over to Maddox's corpse.

That was it. He was dead. He laid there. Defeated. Finally killed. So what now? What happens now? What does he need to do? What is there even left to do? All these questions started to stress him out. Like there was nothing he could do.

But as he looked all over Maddox, he saw Lexi's glasses. He took them as he didn't know what they were doing with Maddox.

He went over to the stairs and slowly made his way down. The steps he took seemed never ending. It symbolized something in his head. He goes from up to down. From heaven to hell for what he's just done.

But to him, it didn't matter much as to what happens now. He just wished that Maddox's death would make him feel somewhat better. A bit more confident about his future among other people. But it just felt wrong to him. He didn't know why. But sooner or later, it would all make sense. Hopefully.

Meanwhile, Gideon and the others dropped down the fire escape and went over to the east wing. They climbed over the fence and helped the remaining few Marines secure the civilians. There were a lot of newly infected and they would wake up in a few minutes. So time wasn't on their side.

Roman and Robert took the lead on the other side and guided the civilians to the countless trucks that were set in and outside of the garage. They needed to stay calm and wait for everyone to be safe.

Enzo helped shoot some of the zombies but he kept his distance. He then looked over to the rooftops and saw the Red Raiders using the electric line as a zipline to get to the other side up north.

Even though it was quite noisy and out of control, he still took the time to reflect upon his desicion to shut his dad out of his life. He kind of regretted it now. He admitted it to himself that he was too harsh on his father. He got worried as to how long he stayed up.

Even Mason, who was there for awhile now. He hoped that he was alright. But he also started to hate him for his desicion. Mason was stubborn and super narcissistic. Thinking that everything revolved around him. Blaming himself for actions that weren't even his.

Sooner or later, the zombies came in more aggressive than ever. The Marines barely got a good hit and that caused the zombies to get ahold of them. Enzo started to get anxious until Adalia came from behind him. She started to shoot more accurately than him. Even Gideon started to push the zombie lines back.

The Marines helped as much as they could while also trying to evacuate the civilians to the trucks as there was no means of any other escape route. Even though Gideon and Adalia were on bad terms with the Marines, they still helped each other and in turn, helped the civilians.
