He still remembers his family, his friends...his home. Sometimes it feels like a vague memory. But at night, it feels like he doesn't even sleep as he gets dragged back to the past, reliving the same tragedies over and over again. Mason and Enzo knew each other for almost 7 years. They met in high school and have been friends, even brothers ever since.

Enzo was the always the balanced soul while Mason was the hot headed one. But even though both of them had flaws, they were still normal people living an everyday life. Until, the Trunibal Virus broke out.

"You bring bad luck everywhere you go!! Get out!! Get away from us!!"

"You fucking bitch!! You'll doom us all!!"

"Go to hell and rot you fucking son of a bitch!!"

"Who made you?!? You're a fucking disgrace!!"

Mason wakes up and tried to move. The words that were exchanged in his former group's final moments. He will never forget those words. He looked around and saw that he was being tied to a wooden column. He looked around and saw Enzo on the other side.

His head hurt, almost like it was bleeding on the inside. It felt like someone was stabbing him in the head non stop. He tried to move his hands a little bit but the chains were tied very tightly. He then called out to Enzo but he didn't answer.

The door creaked open and Mason watched in sudden fear. It was Maddox who came from the door. He and his best soldier, Red came in unarmed. But they didn't need weapons to be proven lethal.

"Mason Roland...good to see you again son. What's it been? 8 months? 10?....a year? Time flies boy. Especially for a young gun like yourself. How you doin boy?" Asked Maddox in a tone which would make him seem gentle but dangerous at the same time.

"*spits on the ground* Oh I don't Maddox. Better get your priorities straight...you seem to be losing it. Or better yet, it was already gone by the time you set us up." Said Mason.

"*chuckles* Seem to have never lost your tongue that could cut diamonds in half. Unlike your friend there Enzo. He still the sentimental type? Even in this...cruel world?" Asked Maddox.

"Still is, sure. But not to the extend of getting us killed." Said Mason mockingly to Maddox referencing their past.

"Time's changing boy. Zombies are getting smarter every now and then. And there's nothing we can do to stop it...or is there? The...US Marines, nasty little pricks they are. I hear they got something that can decrease the zombies their evolution. Problem is, they don't want to share it with us. Red, untie him. Gonna take you on a stroll here Mason. Until your buddy wakes up." Said Maddox.

Red went to Mason and threatened to stab him if he made any sudden movements.

"All right all right dickhead I'll behave." Said Mason as Red held a knife close to his face.

Red cut the chains that held Mason and he charged against Maddox but Red caught him off his feet.

"*chuckles* You won't outsmart dear Red here Mason. They don't call him the Red Reaper for nothing." Said Maddox as he looked at Mason pinned on the ground.

Red picked up Mason and tied his hands behind his back. Red didn't speak but his actions did. He was a skilled and smart fighter. Same can't be said for Mason and Enzo. They were mostly feared for their unpredictability, not their skill.
