Mason and Enzo were back in Commewijne. They parked the car somewhere secretive and camped deep into the woods alone. It was night and the fire would soon have to be killed. Mason and Enzo were busy eating a deer they caught. This one had good meat and would silence their hunger for the night.

Mason had this weird thing of constantly looking into the campfire. Enzo found it creepy as every moment after, he would say something weird.

"I've always wondered if there was pain in the fire. The ashes after it become beautiful as they clash with the sand below." Said Mason.

"Ah shit, here we go again. You're like the first person to say that ashes are beautiful, you know that." Said Enzo as he began chuckling at the pure randomness of Mason's conscious.

Mason laughed along with Enzo but not too loudly.

"You know, these sort of things are getting one sided the more days pass. Nothing to talk about. Nothing to think about. Just things to fear and look out for. Weird world we live in." Said Mason.

"Well, there are always memories. I mean, those should be acknowledged too right?" Asked Enzo.

"I thought we didn't talk about these things anymore. We made a promise." Said Mason.

"Yeah well, there's nothing to do." Said Enzo.

"Well you start first. I ain't being talky shamed." Said Mason.

"What the fuck does that even mean?" Asked Enzo as he chuckled.

The wind started howling along the tall trees and leafs started to crumble against each other. The sound of it was haunting as it was beautiful. Nothing quite like it. This kind of gave Mason something to think about. He went into his backpack and pulled out used glasses that once belonged to a girl named Lexi.

"You still have those huh?" Asked Enzo.

"Yeah...I do. I got John's watch, Daniel's necklace....and James's bracelet." Said Mason as he looked at the glasses in his hands. He wiped the lenses and it felt like he heard her voice all over again. Which made him remember the hallucinations.

"Back there with the Marine, when we were going to look for a car...I had those..hallucinations..again. This time it was...my little brother and...Sam's corpse. I don't know Enzo, it feels like...I can't...it feels like everything was exploding in my head." Said Mason as he held his head.

"I thought those...were over. You told me they were over." Said Enzo worried.

"Because then we killed a lot of people and KILLING people makes them go AWAY!!" Yelled Mason as he got frustrated.

Enzo got worried about Mason as his hallucinations were worse. Enzo only got small hallucinations from the past, but Mason had it worse. He literally gets attacked by his own mind and suffers for it. One time it got so severe that Mason almost killed Enzo.

"They were yelling at me and screaming at...me. I felt horrible and...guilty because their deaths are..my fault. I...I don't know what to do because...I keep seeing them right in front of me." Said Mason.
