"W-What? Uuwi ka na?" I stammered as I asked him. Hindi ko alam kung matutuwa ba 'ko sa ibinalita niya or not.
[Bakit parang hindi ka yata masaya na uuwi na 'ko? That's how I feel, love. Hindi mo ba ko na-miss?] I felt like he sounded grouchy.
What am I thinking, huh? There's no need to have a second thought, instead I should be happy kasi he's finally coming home. Magkikita na kami ulit for almost a month of being away from each other.
But I can't help myself from being anxious. I think hindi magandang idea na umuwi na si Eli kasi alam na nina Julia ang tungkol sa paired up niya with his ex. At natatakot din akong malaman ni Eli ang tungkol sa confidential deal namin ni Dylan.
He shouldn't come home this early!
[Love, are you still there?] Nabalik ako sa wisyo when I heard him spoke once again.
"Y-Yeah, I'm still here," I reluctantly said. "Uhm, that seems good news, love. Welcome to the Philippines!" I told him as I faked my laugh.
I heard him sneeze before he said, [Magi, I really miss you. I can't help but touch and hug you once again. I love you!] And as usual, he ended the call without waiting for my response.
Pero hindi dapat 'yon ang isipin ko, kung di baka malaman niya ang sikreto namin ni Dylan. I am not yet ready to face him nor explain to him everything.
Hanggang ngayon, about his partnership with Trisha bothers my mind. I'm still worried about the thought na pwede silang magkabalikan. Like what Julia said, it isn't impossible to happen.
'Yon sana muna ang gusto kong mapag-usapan namin ni Eli over the phone, but he flabbergast me with this news.
It's not like I don't want him to see or I didn't miss him. Ang gusto ko kasing mangyari, before Eli came back ay tapos na 'yong problema ko kay lola. 'Yong deal namin ni Dylan ay dapat tapos na before he returned kasi I don't want Eli know about that. Ayaw kong masira ang relasyon namin just because of that fucking deal.
Napahinto ako sa paglalakad when my phone rang once again. Akala ko ay si Eli ulit 'yong tumatawag, but it's Dylan.
'Does he know about Eli's homecoming?'
"Why?"
[Do you already know na babalik na si Eli?] he asked --- which answers my question earlier.
Mukhang naunang malaman ng DWEIYAH ang pag-uwi ni Eli kaysa sa akin. Well, I don't have any problem with that naman.
"He told me just now," I replied. "We have to be careful sa mga actions natin so that none of them speculates that we're having a secret deal --- even Eli," I said.
[Of course. Maski ako ay ayaw kong malaman nila ang tungkol dito kasi friendship ang nakataya.
Huli na para mag back-out sa deal kaya mag-ingat na lang tayo na hindi tayo mahalata. I got you, Magi.]
I ended the call immediately nang may huminto sa tapat ko na taxi. Sumakay ako roon and I recline my back on the backseat.
This day is a bit tiring as if ang dami kong ginawa para mapagod ako nang ganito, when in fact, nakinig lang naman ako sa usapan ng mga kaibigan ko habang kumakain... yet I felt tired.
I let out a heavy sigh. Kailangan kong harapin si Eli at pag-usapan ang dapat pag-usapan. If he wants this relationship to keep stronger, I hope he'll cooperate. He has to answer all of my doubts swirling in my mind. In that way, my life would return to peace.

As I was about to sleep, bigla na lang tumunog ang messenger ko. It was our group chat --- kami-kami nina Julia at Delancy --- and I only see a link there.
