Away

"So this what it feels like going home to you."

The sunlight slightly peaked through the curtains of the glass windows. The first thing I thought was Worth's last words before hanging up last night.

It's 9am.

Tumayo ako at pumunta sa bintana. I moved the curtain and looked outside.

His car was parked outside.

I took a quick glimpse on the small mirror hanging on the wall, I combed my hair using my hands then went out the door.

We only have wooden floors on our house.

I carefully hold on to the staircase.

I really want to see him since yesterday. It was like he became a part of something in me. Hindi ko lang matukoy kung ano. But I'm wanting it too.

This was my exact reaction when my plant calendar's set to bloom.

That's why I got up like this.

"When are you going to tell her, Worth? You can't just keep something like this to her."

"I'm just following procedure, Meda. Let's not talk about this here."

I hurriedly walk down the stairs at dumiretso sa kusina. Bahagya akong tumakbo papunta roon.

"She's too innocent, Warren.." It was Andromeda's worried voice.

"I know. That's why I'm keeping her." mariing boses ni Worth.

I didn't got any idea about their conversation.

Andromeda's cooking while Worth's standing on the end of the table. He's holding his camera on his hands.

His brows slightly furrowed while staring at his camera. His shades laid on top of the table.

His wearing his plain white t-shirt, military pants and boots. His muscles showing off again because of his fitted shirt.

Worth's eyes instantly narrowed to mime. His face brightened.

"Morning." he greeted. "Tried to wake you up early but it seems like you were still dreaming of me," He shrugged.

Agad naman akong natawa. Lumapit ako sa lamesa. I pulled the chair facing him.

"I don't dream, Worth." usal ko bago umupo paharap sa kanya.

"I'm the dream, remember?"

I glanced at Andromeda who's currently cooking.

His playful eyes lingered on me.
