In this mountain

"Worth, let me go."

"No."

I couldn't count how many times I heavily sighed everytime he says no. Tinapik ko ulit ang kamay niyang pasimpleng hinihimas ang likod ko na pababa.

"I-I need to pee..." nahihiyang sambit ko. Yumuko ako para iwasan siya ng tingin. Of all the reasons you could think of, Bellemy...

He looked at me on his side then put down the frying pan he's holding. He took his dish out and move it to another plate. I stare at it. I'm starting to question what this is. He said it's healthy. Hindi naman na ako umangal. Pero ngayon parang nagtataka na ako sa itsura nito.

I lowered my head to look at it better. A fish with vegetables inside. I got confused. I move it around to look it whole. There were five cherries on the upper left of the plate. Slices of apple on the bottom. And he's currently arranging the leaves on top of the fish with one hand. His other playing with my hair and stroking my back.

"What do you call this, Worth? I didn't know you can do this. Hindi ko rin alam na marunong ka palang mangisda." saad ko.

Kaya pala maaga siyang nawala kanina sa tabi ko. He went to go fishing on the river for this.

He just smirked. "It's a Spanish recipe. And catching a fish was easy, Bellemy. I can capture any animal besides a fish. I was trained to survive in missions. To cook on my own, to hunt for survival."

I snorted at him. Nagtanong lang naman ako sa pangingisda.

Tumayo ako ng matuwid at bumuga ng hininga.

Worth immediately stopped. He faced me and held both of my shoulders. His eyes dropped from my face to my stomach then back to my eyes.

"What? What's wrong, baby? Does it hurt?"

His body heat enveloped me. He's not wearing a shirt. Only the white apron he borrowed from me and his pants. His walking barefoot on the wooden floor.

His worried eyes waited for me. Umiling ako.

"I'm fine. Will you... stop panicking around me? You might faint again..." I bit my tongue to hide my mocking smile.

Ever since yesterday night when I told him about him being a father, he started to faint how many times now. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyayari sa kanya pero bigla-bigla nalang siyang nawawalan ng balanse sa tuwing mapapahawak ako sa tiyan ko at bubuntong hininga.

I'm starting to get worried. I will ask Andromeda to check on him when she'll visit me.

Worth grunted and raised a brow to me. "Then stop heaving so much. Take it steady, Bellemy. It's not shrinking on me yet. W-We're going to have a baby... It's so unreal."

I saw him gulped before breathing in. His eyes fell to my bump again. I saw the side of his lips rose. I can't help but to look at his every reaction when it comes to moments like this.

Sometimes I would caught him staring at my belly, or to me. Or I would feel him running his fingers carefully on it. Then after a few seconds he would pull it away and breathe heavily out. He won't hug me for too long either. It's like it was too unforeseen for him. I can tell he's being fragile with us. He's like planning his every step. Analyzing his every move. Thinking on how would he be around me.

He wouldn't let me go anywhere. He needs to have a hold of me or else he would lost it. He won't let me out of his sight and he wouldn't let me do anything too.

Kapag sinabi kong gustong manghalaman, uunahan na niya ako. He would do everything I would want to. I understand if this is his way of relieving himself. Nakakabagot lang.
