Napatitig ako kay Worth sa sinabi niya.

He nodded once to his father. Marshal nod back to him before swiftly passing us and went inside the tent. As if they were both aware of my unknowing presence. They remained vigilant.

I was left confused when he walk straight inside.

Why? What will Worth do to him exactly?

Worth waited for the curtains to close before turning his body to me. He let go of my hand and rubbed my shoulders.

I shrug off the inferring fear. My hands reached for his elbows. "Warn me with something, at least, Worth. I'm not asking you questions because I trust you. And I know this worries you. But I'm your wife, enlighten me on what will you do inside because I don't want to look at you with no idea. It makes me feel stupid. I promise to let you do your business here... even if it was a sudden, but I'm not invisbile..." Mariin kong usal.

He was still rubbing my shoulders, nodding.

"I thought... Walter's a-away from here? Did your father brought him here?" I execute my first attempt to ask him again.

He studied my eyes first before nodding his head again. "Yes."

That made me silent. Umawang ang baba kong nakatitig sa kanya. "And you're aware of this the whole time?" I gasped.

Tumango ulit siya. Nanlumo ako. He didn't stop lulling me. His face still calm staring down at me.

"While we're together?" My voice lowered down. I know the answer to this but I want to see him confirm it.

He heavily sighed before nodding again.

"Y-You can tell me anything, Worth. I won't question you for it." I let him know.

I took a step forward and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Then, will you let me..." His words stop. As if he's measuring how it would affect me. "...let me--" He stopped himself.

"Let you what?" I followed his gaze.

Umawang ang baba niya bago mahinang umiling. His hand touched my face with the back of his palm. His gesture shocked me when I remembered this.

I hold on to his hand. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

His face saddened, and it scared me. His eyes were dull looking into mine, his brows slightly furrowed like he was in pain. His lips were parted, he's breathing was rigid.

Nag-aalalang hinawakan ko ang mukha niya.

"Bellemy..." he whispered my name as if it was the hardest he ever muttered.

"This was why you don't need to come. I can't help not telling you some things. I shouldn't. It wasn't good, baby. You should be resting. Preparing. Laboring was painful, Bellemy. And you're acting like it's going to be a piece of cake for you."

Nalaglag ang panga ko. This... This is why he's too hesitant? Because I'm acting this way?

I can't take to look at his face while I'm laughing. I would be offending him if I do. I sighed before facing him again.
