7:00am
My phone buzzes on the bedside table, Don't by Ed Sheeran echoes around my sun-lit room. I open my eyes slowly and painfully.
Urghh.
School.
It wasn't like I hated school, I am just not what you would call an early bird. If it was the weekend, I would snuggle up to my duvet and go straight back to sleep. Thing was... it wasn't, and it was in fact a Monday.
Oh Joy!After a while of checking instagram and facebook, I finally decided to throw my duvet to the bottom of my bed. I yawned and stretched before I sat up and hung my feet of the side of the bed , slipping them into my slippers movie style.
"Mornin'." I murmured as I wondered into the kitchen.
"Toast is here, eat up- remember you've got gym today, I put your trainers by the door!"
Gym. Two hours of my day wasted when I could be in the studio! Two hours of me failing to score in front of everyone. Hmmm! No.
I finish my toast and run up the stairs to get changed. However, I plugged my phone into my speakers and got a bit distracted by having a mini-jam-out session in my room. After about 3 songs, the time told me I probably ought to wander over to my closet and get my uniform. Sometimes I wish I lived in America, here in London we have to wear a school uniform. So, I throw on my white shirt, grey sweater, navy blazer and my grey school skirt and knee-high socks. Just in case you were wondering, dancing to Fifth Harmony whilst pulling up socks is not a good idea. But it's fun though.
Then I head to the bathroom: I brush my teeth and wash my face. Now I turn to the mirror and wonder what to do with my knotted brown hair. I brush it out (painfully) and start to twist it into a quick messy bun, pulling small strands of hair from behind my ears. I hardly wear any makeup, just a tiny coat of mascara and some under-eye concealer (essential for covering up the all-so-familiar dark circles, and yes, the struggle is real).
It'll do.
I spray on some perfume and shout goodbye to my mum as I grab my bag and head out the house.
