July 3rd:
7:45
Stupid freaking alarms.
"Noooo......" I murmur and snuggle my self back into the duvet. I stick one hand out from under the covers and thrash it around on the bedside table, hoping to hit my phone alarm off. Well I heard something beep.
7:50
What the actual bajesus is this? I didn't want to hit snooze.
"Hmmupphhpp."
I prize my eyes open and gaze around the hotel room. Bright, Chicago sunlight was streaming through the window blinds I had failed to close the night before. The fact that it wasn't raining every time I looked outside, made it an immediate change from Britain.
I arrived in America 2 days ago and believe me, this -6 hour time change thing is difficult to get used to. I haven't really done much yet- when I arrived, I was whisked off to this hotel 2 hours away and I haven't left it since. Well, that is except to go to the Starbucks across the road.
But today will be the change of that, I have an 'official' meeting with staff and crew members. They have to work out my performance outfit, hair and makeup etc. Then I have a meeting with the stage crew, they want to know where I want the piano and all that. Yet, it's tomorrow I am looking forward to- I get to meet my fellow performers Taylor Swift and Vance Joy! It'll be the 4th July, so we are having this massive bonfire/party event with all of our crew. But for now, I have to be at this meeting for 8:30.
8:00
I should probably get up now.
I fling off the duvet and push myself onto the floor. I wander into the shower and wash my hair with the hotel shampoo and conditioner. After shaving my legs, I turn off the shower and hop out.
I should probably look vaguely presentable.
I wrap my hair in the towel and look for an outfit. I pick out some washed jeans and a blue and white striped top. I shake my hair out of the towel and blow dry it upsideown. Then, I just apply concealer, mascara and some reddish lip crayon.
I glance at the mirror.
It'll do.
I grab my bag and fill it with my headphones, phone from the charger, purse and chewing gum. I spray a bit of body spray on and leave my room.
8:25
Time for a quick Starbucks?
Answer? Yes.
But then I seriously have to get to this meeting.

9 hours of meetings and 2 hours of chipotle later, I was back in my room. I had my MacBook on my lap and I was watching Netflix. I am a 16 year old girl after all. Plus, the new season of Pretty Little Liars is out.
Suddenly my phone started to vibrate on the table.
Fml I had just got comfy!
I picked it up and looked at the contact:
"Sarah C. "What does my manager want now?
I picked up the phone:
"Hey Sarah!"
"Hi Ellie. Listen, I've got good news and bad news. Take your pick."
Holy crap. What a way to start a conversation.
"Urrrmm... Good news first?"
"Good news is that Taylor is still touring, But I'm afraid that Vance Joy has had to pull out."
"Oh no! Please tell me I'm not the only back up act."
"Ellie, you'll be fine whatever. Listen, they are calling a bunch of people to see if they can make a tour at the moment. If anyone can, I'm sure they will be flown in immediately, probably in a couple days. "
"So you don't know who has agreed yet?"
"No, afraid not. I won't know until their here. Don't panic though, they will find someone before the 19th."
"I hope so."
"Okay, I've got to go now, remember, meeting is at 3 tomorrow. Why don't you go out in the morning - get some fresh air Ellie. I heard there are some nice shops. Oh yeah, remember it's the 4th July tour party later tomorrow, and don't party to hard. Okay?"
"Okay. See you then."
Anywho, I better get back to Netflix.
