Agnes walked into the kitchen with Jack. 'What are you sitting around for Hetty? There's work to be done!' Agnes said annoyed. 'Mr Callander has called for a doctor for me and he said I am not to work until I've seen a doctor' I said looking at the floor. 'Hetty are you okay? What's wrong? Why didn't you tell me?' Jack said running over to me worried with tears in his eyes. 'I'm fine Jack, I was worried that I was being sick and not eating but gaining weight so I thought I should get checked.' I said giving him a weak smile. 'well do you want me to come with you' He asked. 'No No you carry on with your work, they don't need the both of us not working.' 'okay' he said giving me a hug. Just as he was about to leave Mr Callander came down to the kitchen saying the doctor was here. Jack gave me a smile and Agnes mouthed sorry to me for getting mad and I smiled back. The doctor and I walked to the gardeners cottage where he checked me and did some tests. Then he sat me down and said 'there's nothing wrong with you. You're pregnant.'
