My brother the dentist 3

Ch 1- school

It was a regular day at school. Nothing special going on. I am a shy shy person in the 4th grade. I was a nerd too.
I wore glasses and a a shirt and skirt most days and an occasional dress we have to change for gym. In a tee and  shorts also I am on the schools swim team.
It was after school and a had swim practice when my coach called me over.
"Shiloh sweetheart, your medical forms aren't complete when was your last dental checkup?" She said. Coach Shelby was an awesome coach and was very nice and cared about everybody.

"Uhh I don't know I have to ask my brother" I say as I grasp my bag.
"Your brother is a dentist he should be keeping up with your appointments" she said
"Yes I know I will talk to him when I get home" I say
"Okay sweetheart have a wonderful day" she said and smiles.
I walked out of the pool area and headed out of the school and started to walk home.

The thing is I never really went to the dentist.
Ever. I managed to avoid every appointment with Charlie.
I made excellent excuses.
I have so much on my schedule I have school, I have swim meets and other things

I walk in my house and Charlie was on the couch. I take my shoes off and set my bag down and took my swim suit and towel to the laundry. Then came back in the living room.

"Hey" I say

Charlie looks focused on his laptop and had his glasses on.

"Soo.. I was checking your medical files and seems like you never went to the dentist in years" he says and looks at me
"Mom took me once and that was it I had nothing wrong" I say
"Don't talk about mom or dad in this house.. but you are supposed to see one every 6 months and you are long overdue" he says

"My teeth are fine" I say and sat on the other couch and turn on the tv. And chew my gum.

"Is that sugar free?" Charlie asks

"Nope and I don't care" I say

"You know how much I hate it when you eat sugar!" He says sternly

I ignore him

The truth is about the dentist is I have a petrifying fear of them... and my brother is one..
