Chapter 20 - Amalie's POV

I see Beth run happily up to me with a baby in her arms.
"Amalie!" She screams, "you'll never believe what's happened!"
Beth rambles on about how 2 members of her old group have arrived here including one who's baby she is holding (called Judith) and how happy it makes her. I can't help the huge grin on my face as I realise that Beth is finally happy again. Her happy expression suddenly stops as if she suddenly realises something, "um..you might want to visit Kenzie" she tells me.

I do as she tells me and find Kenzie sitting on our bed with Luke's arms around her (definitely something going on).
"Kenz?" I say.
Kenzie looks up with her bloodstained eyes and puffy skin, clearly a sign that she's been crying.
"I'm a murderer!" She shouts at me.
"Shh.. No you're not" Luke tries to reassure her.
"Well what do you call killing a man by stepping on his head and crushing his skull?" She cries.
"No he tried to kill you, Kenzie, you couldn't help it" Luke carries on, "I had already shot him anyway so I contributed."
"He would have still died if you hadn't of shot him" Kenzie wails and then turns to me "and the worst thing is that he knew Beth, Maggie and Glenn and everyone!"

Apparently the mans name was Shane but most people who knew him previously have told me that he was an arsehole anyway and not to let Kenzie worry too much. But poor old Kenzie is a softie at heart and would cry if she killed the most evil person on earth.
