Chapter 17 - Kenzie's POV

We meet back up together in the car park. Ash and Amalie look particularly happy as their smiles don't leave their faces, they probably just found something good. When Calum, Michael and Fliss haven't arrived yet I start to worry.

Suddenly, I see Fliss running I can't work out what's wrong. Calum and Michael are right behind her .

They get to me before Fliss. "We're so sorry Kenzie! We tried to stop them were really sorry!" Says Micheal looking distressed. Calum looks like he's going to cry. Fliss runs over to me "I got bit" she cries. I stand there bewildered. I feel Fliss pull something from my pocket. I don't question it. "Kenzie I love you okay, I'll always be with you and when I'm in heaven I'll send you a rainbow I promise" and then she puts the gun to her head and pulls the trigger.

Everything's a blurr. I force everyone to bring Fliss's body back. Calum and Michael return to the shops to get some form of fake flowers.
I get put in the car and Amaile holds me down while Luke comforts me. Eventually Amalie goes to sit in the front with Ash. Calum and Micheal sit next to me and Luke.

No one says a word and when we get back to Costco I go to my section and cry. The unmade bed Fliss slept on, her clothes and pyjamas lying on the floor.

I don't touch anything except a large red t-shirt that I put on as my pyjamas. It still smells like Fliss .
I pick up her cloths carefully and find a chest and put them in it, writing do not touch on it.

I get into bed, breathing in her scent, and cry into her pillow. At about 1 o clock, Luke comes into my section.
"Why don't you come and stay with me?" Luke asks
I nod my head and he takes me to his section.
I climb into the bed and full asleep in the warm, soft covers.
