I'm trying to take it all in, the crying, the screaming and Hazel my cousin trying to lug around her oxygen tank "Phillip". Hazel has a terminal form of thyroid cancer in her lungs. She had a boyfriend, Augustus, but he died recently from cancer also. This must be tough for her, I don't know how she even gets through it.
All of a sudden Gale shouts something at us. My ears muffle the sound and I don't hear what he says but I figure it out - as I twist my head to the right I see it. A heard of walkers.
"GET TO THE CAR!" Another person shouts.
I trip over my own feet on my way to help up Kenzie and Hazel. Kenzie picks up Phillip (Hazel's oxygen tank) and helps Hazel run to the car. Maggie is hesitant to go, "what about Glenn!"
Just before I can tell Maggie that we will look for him on the way Gale points at one of the walkers before shooting it to the ground. All I see of the walker is a mop of black hair on its head before it falls to the floor.
"Maggie, that was Glenn" Gale seems sad but I can make out the happiness in his eyes. I don't know what is with him.
Maggie shakes her head "no" she says. But tears start running down her cheeks as she stumbles towards Glenn. But Gale stops her before she is even 50 metres near Glenn.
"It's too dangerous Maggie" Gale nods towards the herd slowly approaching us.
Gale and I then have to practically drag the screaming Maggie away...
