My bottom lip was pulled as I lightly pushed Janet away from me, she immediately covered her mouth afterwards.

"Janet..."

"I'm sorry...I-I just..."

She looked as if she was searching for the rights words but she exhaled, and closed her eyes after a while.

"I'm sorry."

I nod by head. "It's okay. I'm... I'm gonna go." I said as I pointed back at the door.

"Okay, see you later."

I turned towards the door, and I put my hand on the doorknob. Honestly I didn't want to leave, but that kiss....what did it mean. The old me would probably have her out of her clothes right now but right now I'm just confused. Let's just say the kiss was a 'accident' or an in doubt kiss...that doesn't change the fact that it happened. I know her and Aaliyah have been apart for over a year, but I still feel some type of way about this.

I changed my mind about leaving so soon, I turned around and I stepped towards Janet. And I told her honestly how I felt. "Your a selfish, self assured, and confused ass woman."

Janet's eyebrows furrowed, and wrinkles formed on her forehead. She looked as if she didn't expect that to come out of my mouth.

He'll I couldn't believe I said it, but I did.

"Wait...what?"

"You heard me Janet...no disrespect, but besides all the good things you do for the community, and for the less fortunate your a selfish person."

Janet shifted her jaw as she blinked repeatedly.

"How am I selfish Toni, because I kissed you?" She asked raising her voice a little too loud for my liking.

I shook my head. "First of all, lower your tone...I'm not trying to fight with you. I'm your friend, and I'm about to tell you about yourself. No I'm not calling you selfish because you kissed me, I'm calling you selfish because I've wanted you for the longest Janet...and when I find out at your dinner table that you got with Aaliyah, when you barely even knew her I got pissed...and then you bashed me like I wasn't supposed to feel some type of way about that. So then as your with Aaliyah, you already knew this woman had a lot of baggage before you moved her into your house, and before you two became a couple. At first I didn't like it, but as I continued to go to therapy I started to realize how much you two loved each other and I couldn't be mad at Aaliyah for falling in love with you. I fell In love with you too." I fold my arms across my chest as I slowly shook my head, then I continued.

"I get the whole situation that happened to you, and I wanted to hurt them niggas for hurting you. I even blamed Aaliyah at one point...but after a while I started thinking. You knew something like that could have happened, why didn't you do what you said you were going to do?"

Janet pointed her finger at me, as her lips quivered. "That's enough!"

I kept going. "You didn't get no security installed, you didn't get camera's, he'll you didn't even get a gun. Why in the he'll did you promise that girl, you would protect her...and then at the end of it all your the one who got hurt."

"GET OUT!! " She yelled.

"Janet I really think you just used Aaliyah to fill that void Jeffrey left. You can't handle real love...Aaliyah loves you...I love you... but you pushed her away, and now she probably will never forgive you."
