Chapter 23
Janet
I had a lot of things to do today, and not enough time. I gave my assistant a vacation because he really did deserve it but now I need him more than ever. I was thinking about calling him, but I decided against it.
I had a few appearances to make, and two interviews. Today I had a radio interview with Big Boy and I was too excited for that. Nowadays he records his interviews, back then before he did that it was just audio to people's ears. I was online on my laptop paying bills as I got a knock on my door.
After clicking complete order, I closed my laptop shut and I went to open the door.
It was Aaliyah.
"We need to talk Janet."
I furrowed my brows. "How did you know where I lived?" I ask looking behind her.
She brushed passed me, and she folded her arms across her chest. "That's all your worried about right now...what you don't trust me with your new address? " She asked raising her voice.
No. Is what I wanted to say, but I just hiked my hand up on my hip.
"I just didn't want anyone to know where I lived... period."
Aaliyah looks enraged, she was beyond livid. "Janet...what happened was an accident, it's like you still haven't forgave me for it. I apologized, I even tried taking care of you....but you never even gave me a chance to do that. Why did you push me away, I loved you with all my heart. I would have stood by you, I would have never left your side!"
I waved my hand. "I honestly don't want to hear this over, and over again. Is this what you came over here to talk about...if so you need to leave."
"I'm not going anywhere until I finish what I've got to say. I don't understand where we went wrong Janet..especially now...your face is healed...what is the reason for this bitterness towards me?"
My jaw dropped. "I can't believe you just said that."
Before I knew it I had swung my hand towards Aaliyah's face. I hit her pretty hard, but she came back swinging after realizing I had hit her.
We were hard down fighting in my living room, I kept avoiding her clawing nails as she kept trying to reach for my hair. We ended up on the floor, and we were rolling like tumble weed. She ended up straddling me, as she held my hands above my head.
"WHAT THE HE'LL IS YOUR PROBLEM?" SHE yelled as she lightly panted. She was out of breath, just like I was. I try getting out of her grip, as I tried to push her off of me.
"How could you say some shit like that to me. I will never forgive you!"
"Is it Toni....is she filling your head with crap about me?" I didn't answer her, she was dead to me right now. And after she realized I wasn't going to answer she loosened her grip, and she looked hurt. I immediately pushed her off of me, and she fell back while sitting on her but. She looked hurt, and saddened all of a sudden.
"Get out." I said as I stomped upstairs.
"You will regret it all!" Aaliyah said before I heard my door slam shut.
I pull out my phone, and I call Toni. I put the phone to my ear, and waited for her to answer.
"Hello."
My voice cracked as soon as I heard my best friends voice. I broke down.
"Toni." I said as tears started to food my face. I was crying like a baby, I couldn't believe what just blowed over between Aaliyah and I.
