The next morning and afternoon went by fast with little interaction with Kida. She stayed busy in her office planning for her next gig and tending to matters of selling the free range grass fed cattle that were born earlier in the year. She kept herself busy the whole day only coming out for meals then quickly retreating to her office. Once the evening arrived Kida emerged from her office and greeted everyone apologizing for being occupied all day. Kida prepared dinner for everyone and she casually made conversation with each of them. Of course her conversation with Sesshomaru was one sided with him giving simple one worded answers and a nod here and there. Once everyone had eaten Kida went outside to admire the stars and moon. She walked the path in the fields just staring at the heavens above. How peaceful it was out there with the beautiful trees, fresh air and light breeze. She sat on the ground in the middle of the field and laid back watching as a star shoot across the sky. She slowly dozed off while admiring the beautiful sparkle from the stars. Kagome knocked on the office door waiting for Kida to answer it. She knocked a second time with the same result. She opened it to find the room empty. She made her way to the front and saw that Kida's vehicle was still there. Worried she checked every spot in the house but Kida was nowhere to be found. "Hey you guys I cant find Kida." Everyone got up and started searching for her. While everyone looked around the house Sesshomaru and Jaken searched the fields. "Oh Mi'Lord I found her." Jaken yelled his shrill voice carrying through the fields. Sesshomaru walked over and looked down at Kida sleeping soundly in the field. Her blue hair entangled in the white flowers that were peppered all over the ground. Sesshomaru bent down and carefully picked her up and slowly walked back to the house with her in his arms being as careful as he could so he didn't wake her. Kagome looked over and saw Sesshomaru carrying Kida and fear struck her. "Sesshomaru is she alright what happened to her?" She asked worried for her friend. "Calm yourself she is merely sleeping." He said walking into the house but instead of bringing her to the office he carried her to the bedroom and laid her in her bed and covered her with the blanket. He exited the room and quietly shut the door behind him. Then walked down the hall and examined the fold out couch the one Kida had slept on the first night they were there. Kagome walked over and saw what he was doing and she quickly pulled out the bed part and fixed up the pillows and blankets for him. Everyone went to their rooms and Sesshomaru laid on the pullout couch. It wasn't uncomfortable for him he had slept in worse places then that. He closed his eyes and soon fell asleep. The next morning Kida opened her eyes to the familiar walls of her bedroom. She jumped up in horror thinking Sesshomaru was in there with her but there was no sign of him. She opened the door and quietly tipped toed to her office to grab some fresh clothes. She had no clue how she ended up in her bedroom the last thing she remembered was staring at the stars. Kida quietly made her way down the hall and saw Sesshomaru asleep on the pullout couch. Kida ran her hand through her hair and a few white flowers fell in front of her. She knew that those flowers were from the field. Had she fallen asleep so easily out there? She brushed her thoughts away and headed to the bathroom to shower. She didnt really have much to do except pack for her new job which would take her to Italy this time and she would be gone for three weeks. She got her suitcase from the closet and went to her office. As she was packing her suitcase she could hear the others waking up and the whole house coming to life. Everyone scurried about getting things in order to start the day. The smells of bacon wafted through the air and Kida's stomach growled loudly. Kida made her way to the kitchen and found everyone waiting patiently for breakfast. "Good morning Lady Kida." Rin said bowing in one of her new dresses. The dress was black with bright orange flowers on it. "Good morning child. Theres no need to say 'Lady' it's just Kida" she nodded and smiled brightly. Kida walked over and pour some coffee. The hot liquid was so relaxing. "Well everyone today is my last day here I will be gone for about three weeks working. Kagome I'm sure you can teach one of the guys to fix the wall while im gone." Kida said taking a quick glance at the room. "Don't worry Kida we'll have the wall fixed before you get home. Is that what your wearing on your date tonight?" Kagome said pointing at her clothes. Kida scoffed "Kagome I didn't even want to go on a date, you're the one playing matchmaker. Maybe you should go in my place." She said scolding Kagome. Kagome giggled nervously. Inuyasha came up next to Kagome and grab a piece of bacon. "So what's a date?" Inuyasha asked stuffing the bacon in his mouth. Everyone was now listening intently. "A date is when you go out with someone either to eat or do something fun. To see if the other person could be your mate." Kagome explained and Inuyasha's eyes widened slightly. "So you aren't wanting a mate Kida?" Kida rolled her eyes. "I dont have time for pointless relationships." She said as she took a piece of bacon and walked down the hall to pack. "Hey what about your date tonight?" Kagome asked. Kida swallowed her bacon. "I guess Alex can just have dinner here with everyone that way it's not an offical date." She said grinning as she entered her office. Sango smirked at Kagome. "Well what should we make tonight to make it special?" She said picking up the cookbook that was on the counter. "Kagome it seems she doesn't want to be bothered with it. Maybe you shouldn't make anything special." Miroku said walking over. "Oh they just need to realize their feelings about each other." Kagome said flipping through the book. "Oh where have I heard that before." Shippo said looking at Kagome. "I said it with Sango and Miroku." Kagome smiled. "Yeah but everyone knew we had feelings for each other. We just couldn't admit it to each other. Kida doesn't seem like she has feelings for Alex. Even when we saw him in the store." Sango said with her finger on her chin. Kida came out and put her suitcase by the front door and looked at Kagome flipping through the cookbook. "What are you up to Kagome." She asked putting her hands on her hips. Everyone was tense knowing Kagome was doing something she definitely shouldn't be doing. "I'm spicing things up for tonight." Kagome said with determination on her face. Kida raised her eyebrow and shook her head walking over to the small entry table and pulled out her passport and her boarding pass she had printed up the other day. Grabbing a pen and paper she wrote down the flight information and with a magnet attached it to the refrigerator. "What's all that?" Inuyasha asked looking at the paper as if he was reading a different language. "That's the boarding information when I leave and when I come back." Kida explained. "Found it!" Kagome yelled excitedly. She went the the pantry to make sure she had everything. Pulling the ingredients out and placing them on the counter next to the cookbook with a huge grin on her face. Kida shook her head in disapproval. "Kagome you're so stubborn." Kida said walking over to see what dish she was preparing for. She frowned when she saw. "Seriously Kagome? Bistecca Pizzaiola!" Kida said irritation heavy in her words. "Yup. It is your favorite after all, oh and I saw a perfect wine to go with it." Kagome grinned widely as she pulled the bottle from the pantry. "Now let's go pick you an outfit for tonight." Kagome said grabbing Kida's arm. Kida quickly pulled her arm away and ran and grabbed Sesshomaru's hand. "I told him I'd show him around so he knows how to tend to the animals when I'm gone." She said pulling on his hand slightly as if telling him to follow her. Everyone's eyes widened and shock was on everyone's face. Sesshomaru stood and walked behind Kida as they went through the door. Kida released his hand and they walked to the fields together. Everyone stared in awe out of the window as they watched the two walk side by side. "What just happened?" Inuyasha asked scratching his head. "Clueless as always Inuyasha." Shippo said. Kagome gasped "I've been reading her all wrong now I know what to do!" She said even more excited everyone turned towards her waiting for her to explain but Kagome grabbed Sango and ran to Kida's office.
