Inukimi & The Meido Stone

Sesshomaru arrived at his mother's castle. "Sesshomaru it's been a long time since you've come to see me. Her emotionless expression and monotone voice echoed in the great hall. "Mother what would one do if tensiga wont work on them? Could the Meido Stone be used?" Inukimi taken aback my her son's question. "Why Sesshomaru has your little friend died yet again?" She questioned "No. Amelia a dead witch has possessed..." He stopped he was hesitant to say more. "A woman named Kida." He finished. "So the supreme witch has returned. She was slain long ago. You're thinking if you slay her then you can save this Kida?" She knew just by the way her son had paused before he finished his sentence that he has feelings for Kida. "Tensiga wont work on her but there is no guarantee that the Meido Stone will. Tell me Sesshomaru are you willing to risk the life of this woman to find out?" Was he willing to do that? If the Meido Stone didnt work Kida would be gone. He thought he already lost her once before she was captured by Naraku's spectre. He destroyed the fields where they had spent time together alone without any interference. Sesshomaru took the meido stone and started his journey back to the village. Unable to fully answer his mother's question. When Sesshomaru got close he could smell fire and blood. He ran to the village as fast as he could. Half of the village was destroyed. Miroku and Kaede were unconscious. "Sesshomaru. You need to hurry! She's gone and she's taken Rin." Sango yelled while trying to put of the last of the fire. Sesshomaru gritted his teeth and growled. Now the answer was clear. He had to do this in order to stop Amelia. He has to risk Kida's life to save Rin. He turned on his heel and headed to Amelia's castle. Inuyasha and Jaken followed after him leaving Kagome and Sango at the village. Amelia had surrounded her castle with fire. As they entered walls of fire and molten lava were on either side of the room. "So you have come for the girl." Amelia's voice erupted through the sound of the crackling fire. "She must mean a great deal to you since you came here so quickly to get her." She laughed and turned from the cage where Rin laid unconscious. "Rin!" Jaken yelled "Oh dont worry she's merely sleeping.... For now that is." She walked down the stairs and stood before the three of them. "Now if you want her back Sesshomaru throw it into the fire." She sneered. Sesshomaru's eyes widened slightly she knew. Could she sense it? "Throw it into the fire or you will have to battle me to get the girl back." He didnt move. "I will do no such thing." By that he knew that the meido stone would work. His mind was made up and it was time that Amelia died for good. He looked towards Inuyasha and Jaken they all would charge her at once. They all dashed for her but were stopped by a wall of fire. "What?! She's manipulating the flames!" Jaken screamed in horror retreating behind Sesshomaru. Inuyasha grinned and took off his kimono top and threw it to Sesshomaru. Covering himself he jumped threw the fire and charge Amelia. Amelia had armed herself with a sword of her own one that she had when she was alive. Throwing the kimono top to the side he charged her. Their swords clashed and sparks flew through the air with every clash that they made. Amelia was using her powers to keep Inuyasha and Jaken fighting with the flames while she battled Sesshomaru. One last clash and her sword shattered. Sesshomaru sliced at her with tokijin but he was disarmed when Amelia used the flames as a whip and wrapped the flames around his blade throwing tokijin to the bottom of the stairs. Amelia's eyes glowed as their hand to hand battle was about to begin. Sesshomaru raised his hand and the green glow of his poison enveloped his hand.

Amelia jumped back and completely surrounded Sesshomaru with flames. He had discarded the kimono top and he was surrounded by fire. The space between him and the fire was decreasing fast. Inuyasha and Jaken were still trapped on the far side of the room. "Say goodbye Sesshomaru." Amelia laughed throwing her head back she began her evil song. The room began to shake and the flames were getting hotter and hotter. Suddenly Amelia's song stopped. Her eyes went wide and she was shaking. Amelia coughed blood and the flames were extinguished. Rin had escaped from her cage and tears were her rushing down her face as she thrust tokijin into Amelia's back. Blood quickly covered the floor and Sesshomaru rushed over and quickly finished the job with his claws. Amelia was now dead. Rin cried into Sesshomaru's mokomoko. It was a choice she had to make either she stopped Amelia or Lord Sesshomaru would be burned alive. Inuyasha and Jaken raced over. It was over. Sesshomaru took out the meido stone and put it around Kida's neck. He waited for it to pulse. Minutes were passing and nothing was happening. He pulled out his tensiga. He didnt see the demons of the underworld. "Kida" Inuyasha, Rin, and Jaken said sadly at the same time. He quickly picked up Kida's body and ran as fast as he could back to the village. Inuyasha picked up Rin and followed after him. Sesshomaru burst through Kaede's hut with Kida's body. Kagome gasped tears coming to her eyes. Sango and Miroku covered their mouths in disbelief. Sesshomaru laid Kida down and pulled out the Meido Stone again. He looked at it confused. 'Amelia wanted me to destroy it but it's not working. What if.' He thought. He handed it to Kagome. "Put it around her neck." Kagome stared at the stone and looked back to him. "Sesshomaru she's gone. You already tried the necklace and it didn't work. We have to give her a proper burial." Inuyasha said sadly. Kagome could see the pleading in Sesshomaru's eyes and placed the necklace around Kida's neck. The meido stone pulsed and Kida's wounds were healing instantly. She was incased in a blue light and opened her eyes.

The blue light dissipated. She was fully healed and her blue eyes met everyone elses. "Where am I?" She said groaning and sitting up. "Kida!" She was bombarded by hugs and smiling faces with happy tears rolling down them. Kida sat there with a blank look on her face as she looked around the room.
