The Bidding

Kagome burst through the hut. "She's gone. We need to find her." Inuyasha looked at her "Kagome she probably already went through the well. Maybe it worked after you left." Miroku said crossing the room picking up one of his girls. "No I dont think that's what happened." Inuyasha walked out of the door and headed towards the well with Kagome and Sesshomaru in close step behind him. Reaching the well Inuyasha got down and started sniffing the ground. Sesshomaru sniffed the air her scent lead to the well but then went off through the forest. Inuyasha got to his feet and stood beside his brother. "Yup she went that way for sure." Kagome jumped onto Inuyasha's back and he ran following her scent. About 20 minutes of running they stopped at the small clearing. Her scent along with three men swirled in the air. Sesshomaru suppressed a growl in his throat. The dirt was turned about here and even a human could tell there was a struggle here. "There's three male scents here along with Kida's. She struggled with them. If she was indeed Amelia this clearing would be filled with dead bodies and the stench of death." Inuyasha said frowning. He and Sesshomaru had immediately drawn their weapons on her without a second thought to the fact that they didnt know who the meido Stone brought back Kida or Amelia. Once her blue eyes turned violet and her scent changed they knew they couldn't take any chances. Even with the apparent fear in Kida's face while staring at the brothers pleading to go home. They followed the scents for a few miles "The scents just stopped like they just disappeared." Inuyasha said looking around and sniffing. It was a dead end they had no lead on where she would be. "Let's go back to the village and get what we'll need this will be a long journey." Inuyasha said as him and Kagome walked back towards the village. He stopped mid step and turned seeing his brother continuing forward down the path to look for Kida. Once back at the village they collected what they needed and Kaede, Miroku, Sango and Rin waved them off on their new journey. Jaken looked around and didnt see his lord anywhere he had been left behind again. He quickly took off screaming about how could his lord leave him behind like that. Inuyasha and Kagome shook their heads as Jaken frantically ran passed them to catch up to his lord. "He's so pathetic isn't he?" Shippo asked from Kagome's shoulder causing her to giggle.
Sesshomaru sniffed the area following a scent that was near where Kida's scent disappeared. He approached a demon that looked as if it was made of sludge and decaying flesh. The demon turned to face its follower "I could sense you for the last mile what is it that you are wanting?" The demon asked his voice was harsh as if he had done non stop screaming the day before. "I'm in search of a woman with blue hair wearing a purple cape, your scent was near where she and three men disappeared." Sesshomaru questioned the demon in front of him. "Oh yes the blue haired maiden that was abducted by the bandits going around taking what they can. They headed west of here." The sludge demon complied with the young lord in front of him. Sesshomaru nodded his head and walked west. "If I'm not mistaken she does indeed resemble the late Amelia. There were rumors of her return." The sludge demon commented to Sesshomaru's back. Sesshomaru walked away without any word to the sludge demon's comment. If this demon knew of her existence then so would others. She would be a walking target for sure.
Kida laid there on her side with her eyes shut tight. They had been traveling for hours and she could hear the hustle and bustle of a busy city outside the carriage. When the carriage stopped her eyes shot open and she was on guard. The door opened and one of the men tried to grab her as she trashed about to avoid his hand. Having enough he climbed into the carriage and kicked her hard in her stomach. Kida's whites of her eyes flashed red but her irises remained their violet color. The man took a step back. "Men were at the wrong trade." he bellowed to the two outside. "Head to the demon trade." With that the carriage started moving again. This time the leader of the group stayed in the back with Kida staring at her ever minute of the way. He eyed her trying to figure out what sort of demon she was. "Now wench you are to be sold to the highest bidder. No doubt with your appearance you will be sold for a grand amount that will keep me and my man comfortable for some time." He smiled on the thought of this near future. The carriage was slowing down after a few hours of traveling. Yelling could be heard from the people outside. "Jirachi we have arrived." One of the men called to the man sitting in front of Kida. He grabbed her by the arm forcing her to stand on her feet. "Should we get her a change of clothes?" One of the men asked. This man was skinny beyond belief with shaggy dark brown hair. "No she'll attract more with what she is wearing." Jirachi said eyeing her with a perverted smirk on his face. Kida was still restrained and was being lead to a wooden platform that currently had other women on it. The crowd in front was filled with demons of all kinds in lavish clothing bidding on the women and on the platform. After the women were sold off the stage was empty and the man who was announcing the women to be sold approached. "This one is for sale. Start the bidding for her but only let her on the stage I want the whole crowds attention on her and her alone." Jirachi said low so the crowd didnt hear him. With all the women crying he knew the demons wouldn't be able to hear him talking so low. The announcer took Kida by the arm and lead her to the stairs of the platform. He quickly ran a rag to wipe away dirt and ran a comb through her hair to make her more presentable. When you are bought you will be brought to the holding room and you will bow to your master and be obedient keep your head up and shoulders back until you are bought." He said quietly to her. Her eyes stung with the threat of tears that would fall but she refused to cry like the other women. "Now Lords and Ladies we have a very unique slave for sale." The announcer motioned for Kida to ascend the stairs and stand in the middle of the platform. Kida took a deep breath and put her shoulders back and head up. As she came into view looks of awe and whispers started to erupt from the crowd of the return of Amelia and the bidding started. The bids climbed higher and higher. Even lords and ladies that had just joined the crowd immediately started to bid. "Sold to the general in the back." Kida's violet eyes met deep green eyes. His eyes were so green they put the forest to shame even emeralds couldn't hold a candle to them. She was ushered off the platform and was holding room. The demon paid the price for her and took her by the arm. Once they were walking away he stopped and looked at her. "I will be escorting you to your new home." He was a few inches taller than Kida and his hair was jet black and had the greenest eyes. His ears were pointed and he wore armor over a black and gold kimono. He grabbed her wrists and cut the rope from them. Kida rubbed her irritated wrists and quickly turned to run away. He grabbed her arm gently. "Do not run. It wouldn't be wise." He said to her in a calm voice. He lead her to a shop where he bought a new kimono for her. Dark purple with black blossoms on it and a black ribbon for her hair. "Here go in and change into something decent and warm." Kida took the clothes and went inside. After a few minutes she emerged from the shop dressed in her new kimono which fot her hugged the curves of her body showing off her figure. "Thank you sir that outfit was horribly exposing." She said to him with a bow. He raised his eyebrow at her. "Then why were you wearing it?" He asked curiously. "I honestly don't know how it got on me. I woke up in it." He frowned at her. "So your sellers clad you in that outfit while you were asleep?" he asked with disgust at what they must have tried to do while dressing her. "No. I was already wearing this when they took me. I woke up to see my friend I hadn't seen in a very long time and a bunch of people I dont even know, two men who pulled their weapons on me for no reason." She said with a frown. He tilted his head as she told him this. She was very tense and scared while walking through the city. "It is about a weeks journey to the palace we can go as fast or as slow as you need. We will stay in the next village at an inn if you can not travel longer than that." He said keeping his eyes forward. She nodded in compliance. As they walked he noticed that she still had the gloves on not thinking anything of it he let it go and focused on the road ahead. His head snapped to the right as a snake demon lunged for them Kida closed her eyes tight and put her hands up to block herself and the snake slammed straight into a barrier and disintegrated. He looked at her as she opened one eye and put her hands down. "That was fast I didnt even hear you move" she said to him. He was stunned and nodded. She didnt even realize she had put up the barrier and a dangerous one at that. They came to the next village and stopped for the night. He stood at the corner of the room as Kida slept. Being a demon he didnt need much sleep so he watch over the woman while she slept. Kida tossed and turned in her sleep blurred images and muffled voices flashed in her mind. He watch as this woman flailed in her sleep he shook his head as he stood there and watched the sun rise.
