~Holly's POV~

Cozily nestling up with Jayden on his bed was seriously the best thing I ever experienced. Well, maybe it's on the same level as our date (I'm still unsure if it was one) from the other day.

We wasted the whole morning and part of the afternoon just watching movies and only stopped doing so when his stomach rumbled.

Right now, I'm sitting next to him in the kitchen, watching him cooking something. It smells amazing, he got some typically Asian veggies and chicken to prepare us a little something in the wok.

"I feel you staring at me", he suddenly snaps me out of my thoughts. I blush. It's true, I was admiring his strong back once again. I could see the outlines of his muscles through his shirt and couldn't help but drool internally. He truly is strongly-built.

"I'm sorry", I automatically respond, but he just waves his hand in the dismissing manner his whole family seems to use. It fascinates me how they unwittingly use the same gestures. It seems they really are a close family.

"Okay, it's ready", he finally tells me sometime later and hands me a plate full of delicious looking food. Hmm. It's mostly vegetables. I can eat that, right? I didn't feel good with my breakfast today and actually planned to throw it up later, but due to Jayden's idea of watching TV I kinda forgot about it. His presence just distracted me to much.

We ate in silence again and I can tell you, it's really tasty! That man can cook!

In the middle of it all, we suddenly heard keys opening the front door and a short moment later Juli enters the room like a fresh breeze.

"Hey lovebirds! I missed you two at school today!", she greets us and pouts, helping herself to some of the food.

"Holly needs a few days off, she needs to recover", Jayden answers before I can say anything. I just nod. She groans, saying she was alone the whole day. I smile at her apologetically, but she just shakes her head.

"Don't worry, it's nothing. I'm just in the mood to complain", she laughs, making her brother groan in annoyance.

"Nothing new", he grumbles under his breath. A second later a towel hits his head.

"Hey!"

"Yeah, yeah, don't be a baby, I heard that", Juli retorts and I giggle at their antics. Jayden starts pouting and it's the cutest thing ever. His full lips, puffed out cheeks and scrunched nose just pull me in. How much I'd love to press my lips against his right now, kissing all his sorrows away.

I kinda daydream for a moment, before I get snapped out of it by Juli asking how I feel.

"Oh, uhm, I'm actually better than yesterday. We watched movies all day so my ankle doesn't hurt as much anymore. It just throbs a bit when I accidentally put to much pressure on it. Oh and my rib still hurts too, but it's okay as long as I take the pain killers regularly", I tell them and both nod in content.

"So I guess, you won't be doing anything major these days?", she asks and I nod.

"Jayden's right, I need to heal before I want to go to school again", I admit. It's the first time in so long that I can choose to recover and relax before having to go through something tiring, in this case school, again and I'm really grateful for the Davis family to grant me such a break.

Later this day all of us hang out in the living room, me awkwardly sitting in between the twins, not knowing if Juli would be alright with me cuddling up against her brother. I desperately want to, but I'm afraid she'd lose her shit if I actually did. Jayden on the other hand seems tense, startling me with his stiff posture.
