~Jayden's POV~

My flying fist breaks his jaw as I beat him up like a pulp. The crowd around us cheers and chants my name. I throw my opponent a bitter grin and punch him in his stomach one last time. He crumbles under me and falls to the floor, causing the referee to count down the seconds.

"Jayden wins!", he shouts out a few moments later, grabbing my arm and holding it up in the air. I grin in triumph and look down at the crowd cheering and yelling for me. I always win. That's why they love me.

I savor the feeling of victory a few more minutes, but then Holly's bruised face pops up in my thoughts again and every positive emotion inside of me crumbles down once again.

Making my way down from the fighting ring, meeting up with Luke and a few of my buddies, I leave the loud crowd behind and finally enter the changing room.

"Boy, you won! Why the face?", Eric asks enthusiastically. I just roll my eyes.

"Didn't have the best day", I grumble out, ignoring their following questions. Luke just silently observes, he seems to suspect what's up with me, although I didn't tell him anything.

I silently change into some joggers and a black hoodie, then we make our way out of the building. Just when I'm about to jump in Adam's black SUV an annoyingly familiar voice resounds behind me.

"I swear, I'll make you lose someday, Davis."

Aiden Baker. Rivaling gang leader of mine, 23 years old, always trying to find someone who could win against me in the ring, a complete asshole. Today's opponent was from his gang.

"Don't get your fake nails dirty, Baker", I reply and ignore his angered voice in my back. He can't do anything here, the fighting halls are kinda sacred ground. Nobody is allowed to fight outside of the ring. It's unspoken law for everyone involved to avoid it being discovered by the cops.

Once Adam drives us back to my dear skyscraper, I relax back into the seat and close my eyes for a moment. Holly's face appears behind my eyelids once again. The bruises littering her soft skin, her big eyes filled with fear, her mouth slightly agape after I yelled at her.

She seriously thinks I'd hurt her.

Pain stabs through my chest, making me suffer once again. I could never lay a hand on her, she's my pure, little angel for fuck's sake! She's to sweet and caring to ever get hurt. Why the fuck doesn't she admit who hit her? I'd punch them to a pulp if she just said anything.

"Ey, bro, you're still with us?", Luke's voice interrupts my silent anger.

"What is it?", I snap back. Adam throws me a surprised look. The others remain in stunned silence.

"Ugh, I'm sorry. What's up?", I grumble less aggressively.

"Well, what do you think we should do about Aiden? I heard he plans to overtake our territory", Luke speaks up again. I snort.

"That dipshit doesn't have the men to do that. But anyways we'll have to be careful. Let's prepare for an attack nevertheless. You never know what he comes up with", I ponder.

Aiden's gang is just a bit smaller than mine, so normally he's no real threat, but like I said you never know. He really is some sick bastard. Not saying, that I'm not, but he likes to cause people pain without a reason, while I only hurt them if they did something seriously wrong. For example I don't want to know how my opponent from today's fight ends up later on. I'm sure Aiden's not really amused by him losing against me.

"Let's just get back for the time being", I say into the silence growing around me. Everyone nods and soon we arrive at our headquarters.

I leave the others alone to take a quick shower, then I change into some clean clothes. Getting back into the living room, I see everyone lounging around.
