Chapter 38

~Holly's POV~

Twenty minutes later we're at the skyscraper, Jayden's secret hide-out. It doesn't really surprise me, it's the perfect place to stay without his parents knowing.

"What is this?", Juli asks suspiciously after following us into the building. Jayden still insists on carrying me and I didn't protest anymore, enjoying his strong heat and scent pressed against my body. Juli on the other hand seems a bit wary. I can't blame her for it, I felt the same when I first went here the other day.

"It's sort of the gang's headquarters", Jayden deadpans. Juli's eyes bulge.

"What fucking gang?!"

"Wait till we're above, I'll tell you then", he tells her as calm as ever, while his sister looks around herself in wonder.

A little while later all of us sit on the couches in the gang's living room and Juli looks at her brother stunned. He just told her everything he told me a few days ago, admitting he leads a freaking gang and all...

"I mean, I always knew you're trouble, but I didn't want to believe the rumors", she grumbles, obviously pissed at not being involved. "And you tell me, you knew even before me?!"

Now she looks at me, playful accusation dancing in her eyes. I try a smile and shrug, not knowing what to say.

"I showed her, because I didn't want to have any secrets between us", Jayden chimes in.

"But between you and your own twin that's okay?!", Juli huffs, throwing a pillow at her brother. I giggle at her antics, catching the pillow since I'm kinda sitting on Jayden's lap. He didn't want to let me go after we came in, so I ended up like this.

"Well, deal with it", Jayden smirks. "Now that you know, we can all stay here for as long as we wish, they can't do shit since we're all older than 18. We just need to get our stuff."

Juli and I nod and silence surrounds us for a while. We're all absorbed in our own thoughts.

That is until the door opens with a loud bang and Adam, George and the others pile in. They seem to be in the middle of some heated discussion, that is until they notice us. Their eyes grow wide, surprise entering their faces.

"Holly!", Amber squeals first, running over to me and hugging me happily, leaving a lost-looking Eric behind.

"Uh, hi?", I greet her with a small smile, patting her back gently. She beams back at me and then she notices Juli.

"Oh, who're you?", she questions curiously. That's how everyone gets introduced to each other, apart from Luke since Juli already knows him. To my surprise she blushes once he greets her and I can't help but see a new ship. My best friend NEVER blushes!

After all the commotion died down a bit, Jayden tells his friends what happened. I see anger flaring in their eyes once he explains how his parents reacted and Amber hugs me again, grumbling about kicking Dylan's balls. She and Juli get along really well, making me happy. Perhaps all of us can be friends together?

"Why don't we all pay your brother a little visit? Just to make sure he won't do it again", George suggests after Jayden finished. His smirk is evil and I feel a shiver running down my spine. Do I want to know what kind of visit he means?

"It's his brother George, he surely doesn't want him to-"

"I hate him, but I don't want to waste more time with him", Jayden grumbles, interrupting Eric mid-sentence. "I already beat him up pretty well, I think."

His dangerous smirk causes heat to surge to my mid-section, making me blush when he looks at me with intense eyes. The swirling green and brown in them enthralls me like nothing else. While I weakly stare back, I feel his arms around me tighten, pulling me in even more.
