~Jayden's POV~
My breath is heavy as I smash my fist into the punching bag. Blow after blow gets stopped by the heavy bag, mirroring my inner fury. I pant deeply, not allowing myself a break. I can't. I'd only remember her in his arms, allowing him to kiss her sensuous, naked skin.
I scream in rage, banging my head against the boxing bag, while silent tears fall down my face. Why? Just why? Didn't she realize I love her? I can't even say loved as in past tense, because I still feel myself longing for her just like before...
Didn't she know it'd hurt me if she gave herself to someone else? It's just a few days since she moved in with us, not even a week, but I practically tried to spend every waking minute with her. Even in the nighttime I slept in her bed the other day after she had a particularly bad dream again.
So why would she let my brother of all people have her in that kind of way?
I just don't understand.
He eagerly flirted with her over the last few days, maybe that's why. Was I to slow? Should I have made a move? Perhaps she's tired of waiting...
I punch the bag in front of me again, putting all my anger into every hit and kick. Sweat drops down my face, mixing with the tears still leaving my eyes. I can't focus on the punching bag in front of me, the ever-present picture of my sweet, little Holly in Dylan's arms rules my every thought. Hurt courses through me like venom, making me feel way more miserable than I ever did before. Even when I found out about her getting bullied and abused I didn't feel as hurt as I do now, because this time she choose it herself. She willingly let him near her, taking the right to intervene away from me.
How I would've loved to punch him in his fucking fuckface, pushing him away from her, claiming her as mine. For fuck's sake, she IS mine!
"Argh!", I scream in frustration, embracing the punching bag and leaning my face against the cool surface, hitting it with my arm at the same time.
Why can't she love me?
An hour later I'm still punching my sadness, anger and overall misery away, trying to numb my body and thoughts and making it hurt less. George came in ten minutes ago, not daring to talk or come near me in my obvious rage and desperation. He just sits a safe distance away and watches me breaking down again and again with concern in his eyes.
Suddenly I see Luke coming in out of the corner of my eyes. I only see his eyes widen, but I already pay attention to the punching bag again.
"Jayden! Fuck, calm down! You're bleeding!", he yells once he's near me. I ignore him, giving the heavy bag another blow. Suddenly a hand grabs my shoulder and forcefully turns me around. I don't really think, my fist acts on his own.
"Shit! Jayden, what the fuck?!"
Luke lets out another train of curse words, holding his cheekbone like the baby he is. It seems I accidentally punched him right in the face. I would care on a normal day, hell I wouldn't have punched him in the first place! Now however, I just look at him with desperation feasting behind my eyes.
"Dude, what the fuck happened?! And what the hell did I do to earn this?!", he questions me loudly.
"She made out with Dylan", I answer, my voice finally breaking. I sink down on the floor, my legs just giving out under me. I bury my face in my hands, trying to stop myself from hyperventilating. I hear Luke cursing above me, then he's by my side, wrapping his arms around me and bringing me into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry", he mumbles in my ear. He holds me for a long moment, just letting me cry before letting go and forcefully pulling me up to drag me over to some worn-out, old leather couch. I think Eric brought it here one day, because he always complained about no seats in the gym. In my opinion you don't need them since you should train, but that's probably just me.
