~Holly's POV~
When I wake up again, I'm surrounded by Jayden's warmth and his incredible scent. My cheek is pressed into his chest, my hands gripping onto his sides.
I probably cause him breathing problems with my weight on top of him.
The thought frightens me and I immediately try to scramble off of him. Keyword: Try. Because just when I'm about to roll away successfully, large arms suddenly tighten around me and pull me in even more than before. I squeak in surprise.
"Don't go", Jayden mumbles sleepily. His voice is hoarse and throaty, still influenced by his tired state. To be honest it's freaking hot.
"I didn't want to squish you", I admit silently, shy about my weight and its effects.
"You're not. I like it", he murmurs back, starting to softly caress my lower back. I don't know what to say back, so I just nod against his chest and remain silent. We lay there for quite a while, just enjoying each other's presence.
"Let's grab something to eat", Jayden suggests after at least half an hour. It gives me a jump since I thought he fell back asleep again and he chuckles at my reaction. Rolling us over he stands up and starts to leave, wanting to change into joggers and a new shirt.
"Come on, you need to eat as well", he smiles over at me and I hurriedly get up to change into something comfortable as well. We meet up in the kitchen and when I enter there's Juli already rummaging through the fridge.
"Oh, hey, how are you? What even happened with the director? I just got a message from Jayden earlier saying that you already left with him", she frowns and looks at me worriedly.
"Oh, uhm, well he wanted to know about the incident with Nick and Jayden and their parents were there as well. In the end he wanted to give everyone detention and such, but then I- I had a, uhm, panic attack, because he yelled at us and well, I don't exactly remember much more. Jayden brought me home and now I just woke up", I tell her slowly, embarrassed by my weakness.
Such a pathetic excuse for a grown woman. Always using and relying on everyone else.
"Oh my god, how are you feeling then?! Did you have one before?! My poor baby!", she gushes, eyes grown wide and hurrying over to me to pull me into a soft and careful hug. A small smile enters my face at her antics. How the hell did I get such a good friend? I return her hug, thankful for her caring nature. She'd be a good mom, always looking out for everyone, but never letting them acting up with her.
We talk about what happened some more and in the middle of our conversation Jayden comes in too, filling out the missing spots I don't remember so well. While Juli and I sit around the kitchen island, Jayden starts to cook something. Soon the whole kitchen is filled with a delicious scent, making my mouth water despite me not wanting to eat anything.
I can't fall back into that behavior, I'll get even fatter.
"You know, he never cooked much before, tho our grandma taught him herself. He only does it, because of you", Juli quietly interrupts my negative thoughts while giggling. Jayden turns at her laughter, but he didn't seem to catch what she just told me.
"Your grandma?", I question as silently as her. She nods.
"You know she died a few years ago, but they were really close, much closer than our parents are with him. They always favor Dylan, so grandma and him had a really special bond", she explains further. It makes me sad to think, that he lost someone so precious to him, especially after Juli told me this about their parents. I never knew they favored their oldest son. I mainly hung out with Juli so I never witnessed much of everyone else interacting with each other.
