~Jayden's POV~
I look down at her sleeping form in my arms. She looks so cute right now, I wish I could just kiss her.
Wait-
Who says I can't? After nearly making out with her this shouldn't bother anyone...
With a small smile building on my face I lean down and carefully press my lips to her forehead. She doesn't budge. My smile widens and I add another one to the tip of her cute nose. Still no reaction and I decide to leave it at that, not wanting to wake her.
Instead I reflect on the day. She got along nicely with my friends and I'm really glad about that. But then there was that idiot at the restaurant. That stupid waitress not being enough, afterwards that fucking bastard practically eye-fucked her in front of me! The audacity he had to give her his number right in front of my face! Again I feel the anger bubbling up inside of me, but with my cute, little angel here in my arms I easily manage to calm down again.
She's mine! I even told her so and she didn't seem to upset by it, making my heart flutter in my chest like some stupid, love-struck teenager. Well, okay, technically I still am a teenager. But she's way more than some normal crush for me. She's the one. The one I want to marry and have children with. Preferably as many as possible. I'd love to be the reason why she gets all big and round with a child inside.
Ugh, why am I thinking about this?! We're not even official! I need to get my shit together!
Caressing her long, light brown hair, I silently roll my eyes at myself. I really go all soft around her. I can't help it. It's like she's put me under a spell and if I didn't know what love is, I'd be scared shitless!
I just want to make her happy. I think back to her laughter blessing my ears all throughout the afternoon and it makes me feel all giddy and excited. Whatever happened to me, it changes me drastically, but to be honest I don't really mind. It seems like a good change...
Once the credits roll over the screen, I switch the TV off and carefully try to get myself and Holly out of the blanket fort without waking her up. Being the genius I am, I succeed with only knocking over half of the hung up blankets.
Reluctantly bringing her over into her own room (I'd much rather have her in my bed), I decide that the leggings and shirt are comfy enough to sleep in so I lay her down on her bed and carefully tuck her in. Pressing one last kiss to her forehead, I finally leave the room, switching off the light on my way out.
The next day all of us have school again. After breakfast (where I had to endure my parents watching Holly and me like hawks again) I snitch her away from Juli and get her to drive to school with me on Suzie instead of Juli's car.
When we arrive I feel everyone staring at us again, but frankly I don't give a shit about them. Instead I gently help my little angel down from Suzie and then immediately grab her hand and bag (since her ribs are still hurting obviously) so everyone will know to back off. Making our way into school I feel her shrinking next to me, still not used to the stares despite the other days.
"Don't worry about them. They just have pathetic lives so they need to look for entertainment somewhere else", I quietly whisper to her and she lets out a cute giggle at my words. I smile down at her and she returns it, making my heart flutter slightly. That's how I accompany her till we're in her classroom. I put her bag down next to her seat and she thanks me timidly, being shy and cute like always.
"Don't worry about it. I'll see you at lunch", I tell her, loud enough for everyone in the room to turn around to us in shock after hearing my words. She blushes at the sudden attention, causing me to smirk at her before lazily leaving the room.
