I closed my eyes, and never opened it back. I feared that if I opened my eyes, he would be looking at me, staring into my poor soul. However, I fell asleep in the process. It was now around 9 a.m. Everyone was awake and waiting on Esmerelda to apprise us on what we were supposed to do now.

Tyler walked from where he was and came and sat down next to me. I was glad that he came because I haven't talked to him much since what happened at the hospital.

"Hey Brook, are you doing alright, with your leg and all?"

"The wound is gone, there isn't anything on my leg anymore, surprisingly."

"............U-umm! What did you say?"

A quick bark of laughter escaped Tyler's mouth. He made me sound like I was insane.

"I'm not joking Tyler, look for yourself."

He glanced at my leg looking around everywhere for a sight of the wound.

"Believe me, this didn't happen because of that liquid, my leg was this way even before I took the shot," I muttered in his direction.

Tyler's mouth opened so wide I thought that it would soon detach from his face, he stared at me without blinking, not even once did he blink for the last minute.

"You got that wound only three days ago, it shouldn't be healed yet, that is quite strange Brook."

"I know right."

After our conversation, he sat on the chair next to me in silence, probably lost in speculations as to what he just saw and heard. I wouldn't blame him.

Soon after, Esmerelda came into the room with her conventional bodyguards at her side.

"Good morning, today is the beginning of your tests. These tests that you will be doing are not what you will expect. You will be getting out of this building and into the forest. In the forest you will be tested in your physical strength and ability, you all will be in two groups and will be working against each other to accomplish a set of tasks. The winning team will earn double the cash that they were supposed to receive"

"Well this escalated quickly" Lucas uttered

They thought this out. Doubling the money would make people want to do the challenges. I could already sense that this wasn't going to end well but who cares when there's 20 thousand dollars on the line.

The other group of people was quite scary, to be honest, they all had a bad aura except for the Korean dude. Most of them were glaring at us, if only I could crawl under a table right now I would gladly do it. Going up against them sounded like signing a death wish to me even if I haven't yet got to know their personality or physical strength.

The woman leads us to a room with glass walls surrounding it, when we walked into the room black chairs filled the room, and cables were sticking out of the chairs. I was surprised, to say the least. I did not expect this, I expected to enter this large arena with obstacle courses.

"You will all be connected up to these chairs where you will enter a virtual reality world, however, this isn't like any virtual reality. We have enhanced the system so that anything you experience in the virtual reality you will feel in real life, so if you get hurt or obtain any tragic injury you will acquire that injury in real life. When we connect you to this chair you will be put to sleep and you'll go straight into the virtual reality world and begin the challenges."

There was just something about her that was ominous but I shook off the feeling. We all watched each other and by the looks of it they were quite exhilarated but Xander didn't look too thrilled. He looked a bit disinclined about what the woman said.

We all sat in a chair and someone came to assist us. A woman dressed in white attached all the cables to our bodies. There were 2 each on my hands, legs and stomach. And as she put the last two cables on my head, I flew away from reality.

I was no longer in a chair. When I opened eyes, I was on soft snow, I watched around seeing snowflakes falling gracefully and trees covered in snow girding me. The rest of them were also here adjacent to the other team.

It felt so authentic, it was hard to believe it wasn't.

"Dang this feels so real, it's like I'm actually here," Yori asserted

I watched beyond the forest seeing mountains everywhere covered in a thick layer of snow.

From time to time the gushes of glacial wind made me shiver. All of a sudden Xander walked over and stood next to me. My heart began to thump and I could feel it pounding against my chest. He took out his jacket and placed it on my shoulders making me feel a bit warmer. I was blushing so hard by now and I was so grateful that my dark complexion covered the fact that I was blushing.

Thank you. "No problem" he replied winking at me.

Was he trying to make me burst or something? I will never understand guys they are so impossible. First, he was being mean, now he was winking at me. What's next?

Sorry for this chapter is so short, but its 9'oclock, and I'm quite tired lol. Will be longer in the next chapter.
