Xander POV

When I saw that the glass barrier had closed and Brooklyn was still behind it was the worst feeling ever. We tried banging on the door this wasn't just glass, it was something stronger. I could feel my heartache when a tear slipped down her face. We stood there with her until the gas consumed her and she collapsed. When she began to convulse on the ground I couldn't bear to watch and the others agreed with me

I couldn't even imagine what Tyler was going through because there was no expression on his face, not even sadness was evident, his face was dull. This is the reason why I don't want to get too close to people because in the end they always end up dying just like my mom, dad, and little sister.

"We need to leave now before these people find out that we're not dead and decide to kill us on their own," I said

Everyone agreed that we had to go so we left. When we opened that last door its sky is bright and the sun is shining. The only problem now is where are we supposed to go? We had no idea where we are and not even a cell phone to call for help. There probably isn't even cell service here.

"What do we do now, there's literally nowhere to go. Brooklyn's dead and when they don't find our bodies, they'll know we're alive and then come after us." Yori exclaimed.

"There's also no one living anywhere near here, that's for sure," Lucas replied.

"The best thing we could do right now is to keep on going because we'll never know and staying in front of this building will surely get us killed."

"I agree with Xander we should keep moving," Xiomara stated.

" I didn't even get to bury her," Tyler mumbles forcing his tears back.

"I understand how you feel Tyler, I lost my entire family in a fire and it was the worst thing in my life, we're here for you we all loved Brooklyn but we need to go now before it's too late,"   I responded.

We walked away from the building going into the forest with only 7 of us. First, it was 8 now it's 7. After we entered the forest, we walked for hours but there was no sight of the end of the endless abundance of trees. We were far away from that death hole but we are in the middle of nowhere tired and hungry.

"I don't think I could walk any longer, I felt like I'm going to collapse in a matter of seconds."

"I agree with Xiomara we need to take a rest now," Yori spoke up.

"We can't, if we stop, we'll get caught can't you guys understand that. It's almost like you just want to die as Brooklyn did."

"Don't bring Brooklyn into this," Tyler answered.

I didn't mean to say it like that but lately, every little thing is pissing me off.

"It's my mouth I can say her name if I want, dead or alive."

Next thing I knew a fist was flying my way. I moved out of the way leaving the first flying in the air. He jumped on me making me fall on the ground, he took his two hands and wrapped it around my neck. Lucas tried pulling him off but he was too strong.

I grabbed Tyler's left bicep with my left hand and hooked his left leg with my left foot. I took my right arm under my body and turned onto my stomach and established a good solid base.

Tyler put his legs together and keeps the grip around my neck so I take my right leg over him and place it in front of his stomach. Tyler, however, is surprisingly strong, he still had a very strong grip on my neck despite my previous efforts so I lay my left forearm across his neck and held my left wrist with my right hand and forced my left forearm into his neck.

Tyler groaned in pain and released his grip straight away.

"What is wrong with you guys is this what Brooklyn would want?"

"Let me go." Tyler roared.

I simply let him go and he dusted himself off and walked away.

"You need to wait on us Tyler you can't be going somewhere on your own."

"I'll go wherever I want and you can't stop me."

Everyone was looking at me in pure disappointment. They walked ahead and followed Tyler where ever he was going so I just followed along. I really need to control myself, I can't let anger consume me and swallow me whole. Anger only got me nowhere in life.

When my family died it took a toll on me. My grief I once felt turned to anger and it made me do stupid stuff that I regret up to this day.

We kept on walking through the forest but this time Tyler was in the lead. All of a sudden, I heard something zooming over my head.

"Something's following us," I said

"What could possibly be following us I don't see any sight of anyone" Lucas answered

I then heard the nice once again so I quickly wiped my head around to what was. I looked on the forest floor but nothing was there so I watched up in the sky and saw a huge drone with a camera attached to it.

"They are following us, look there's a drone right above us."

"What are we supposed to do then, we can't just run away from it it'll follow us and we don't even any place to hide properly."

"Yor's right but we have no other option than to run, the only thing that might work is if we split up so the drone wouldn't find all of us in the same place," Tyler answered Yori.

"I agree with Tyler but when we split up we can't split up too far because if we lose each other that would be even worse."

We then split up and ran in all different directions. The drone was quite big so I could hear the noise it made overhead. When I listened even more closely so I can figure out which direction it is going to it sounded like it was coming in my direction so I sprinted off making long graceful strides.

I made sure to look everywhere to see if there was somewhere that could hide. I felt the dirt below my feet getting damp so I knew there was a stream nearby. I swerved between tree so the drone would not track my exact movements.
