Brooklyn POV

The closer I got to the scream was the louder it got. When I was close enough I saw one the men in suits had captured Yori and had his hand wrapped around her neck. I immediately jumped into action, literally jumped. I hopped onto the man's back holding the stick I had in my hand against his neck. Surprised, he dropped Yori and tried prying the stick off his neck.

I leaped from his back and back onto the ground choking him even more, with Yori's help finally he passed out.

"We need to go now there's presumably more, come on."

My actions were stopped short by the sounds of a helicopter nearby. When it got lower I realize that it was a green helicopter with a yellow stripe running across it. It's blades beat the air creating a small tornado on the loose ground cover making the dirt fly all over the place.

"Let's go get the others, there's probably more of those men in suits lurking around, now that they know that there's a helicopter here, they'll definitely try something fishy."

We ran as quickly as we could looking for the others in the process. They shouldn't be too far away.

On the way, the rest of the group met up with us. It was a relief to see them safe and not in the hands of Esmerelda.

We never stopped running towards the helicopter. Everyone was sprinting towards it. It was the best coincidence that ever happened thus far. I quickly looked behind to see the men in suits chasing us. Their faces were etched with anger and determination to catch us, but we weren't going to let then get their hands on us, not this time.

When we reached the helicopter everyone jumped in all at once and we all came tumbling in but regained ourselves just as quickly.

"Go, just go!"

"I'm not here for you, where is Keith?" The pilot shouted

"Listen here he's dead and those people that are coming right at us are responsible for it, so help me, if you don't move this helicopter I'm going to." I roared

"That's my girl," Tyler said patting me on the shoulder.

The pilot looked quite surprised at my tone but in no time the helicopter was hovering in the air. Bullets flew through the air hitting the helicopter, everyone ducked so that none of the bullets would hit them.

"Hold on!"

The helicopter was swaying side to side as I rose higher up into the air causing us to sway with it. The gunshots had finally stopped and when I looked out of the window Esmerelda's men were shouting and their faces were red with anger but I heard none of it.

Everyone's breathing was labored. The thrill was yet to go away. We were finally rid of Esmerelda and it was the best feeling ever.

"Well holy guacamole, this is going to be an exciting story to tell," Yori exclaimed

Sure is, there's no telling who's going to belive me but believe it or not I'm never going to forget this week. The joy of knowing that I was okay now and I was going home took away all the pain I've gone through these past few days.

"How did Keith die?"

"We were running from these men who were sent to kill us because we knew too much about what they were doing," Xander explained

"Don't be too alarmed but you all were pronounced missing a few days ago and there were more missing before you. Do you anything about them.

"They're dead." I uttered, "When we were escaping the building they were already dead when we got to them, and there were more bodies that I found."

"Why are we even talking about this when we should be asking him where we are?"

"Aleutian Island by Alaska."

My eyes went so large that it felt like it was going to pop out of the socket any second.

"We investigated the area by the hospital and the side that we assumed that you fell from  had some sort of gas that immediately made you all unconscious, we believe that something caught you before you fell and they transported you to this location right after"

"But why did it feel like I came here immediately after," Xiomara asked

"That's how it is supposed to make you feel."

It all now made sense. Esmerelda couldn't find enough people to do her experiment on so she kidnapped us, but they left us in the forest to make it feel like they didn't take us there, quite smart I may say.

"So how long again till we reach home?"

"We're going to go to a hospital in Alaska to check up on you all for injuries, then we'll make you come in contact with your parent so they will know that you all are alive and okay and we'll take the next flight to America as soon as possible to be questioned by the police."

I went to the hospital and they restitched my stitches and cleaned and bandaged my wound. I called my mother and spoke with my entire family, they were so elated to hear my voice and to know I was doing good,  however, my mother's cries were half of the phone call. She ranted about how worried she was. It was the first time in a  long time I ever felt loved by my family but I made the most out of it.

1 Year Later

Turns out that all of us were going to the same college, to be honest, I never once saw them on the college ground but after what happened last year we were together almost every day, on weekends and weekdays.

"Brooklyn, are you even listening?" Xander laughed

"Sorry, zoned out for a bit."

Xander wrapped his arms around my shoulder and I leaned my head against his chest.

"Enola Holmes was awesome," Yori yelled.

"Only because Tewkesbury was bae," Xiomara replied

"You is mad, the only bae in that show was Sherlock."

"Periodt!"

They all looked at me and laughed out loud. I'm so glad I found these amazing people in my life because now I can't imagine it without them.
