"Goodnight, my beautiful angel." I say to my sweet girl as she lays her beautiful head onto her pillow. Her dark hair pools around her like a halo, and I know it's the heaven's way of showing me she is genuinely angelic, a fallen angel on earth.

As I close the door behind me, I squint my eyes to adjust to the bright light of the hallway. As I tiptoe out of the hallway and into the living room to clean up our wine, I see Mackenzie perched on the couch, wine glass in hand with a wicked smirk on her face.

"Looks like you two had a fun night," she teases, glancing at our shirts on the ground.

I laugh awkwardly, not knowing exactly how to respond to that. I mean we did have a fucking fun night, but I'm not going to talk to her roomie about it. "Sorry about the mess, I'll clean it up," I say.

"S'okay," she stops me. "You can leave the wine. Just put Luna's shirt in the laundry room," she instructs.

"Yes ma'am," I say, picking up the sweater from the floor.

As I turn to walk to the little laundry closet, I am stopped by Mackenzie's serious voice. "Hey, Harry?"

"Yeah?" I inquire, turning back around to face Mackenzie on the couch.

She pauses, placing her glass down on the coffee table as she thinks about what she is going to say. I can tell the wheels are spinning in her head as her eyebrows knit together in focus. "I just want to make sure you have good intentions with Luna," she finally speaks. I open my mouth to respond, but she holds her finger up, gesturing for me to allow her to continue. "I know that's a super tiger mom thing to say, but Lord knows Luna's parents don't give a shit about her enough to have this talk with you, so I have to step up. Listen, Luna's my sister, she's my family. I've seen the life sucked out of her by the horrible people she gets involved with. Please, for the love of God, I'm begging you to be careful with her. She may seem strong and tough, but Luna is so fragile, I'm afraid if you mess this up, she won't be able to recover." Mackenzie exhales after her long-winded speech.
