how tf are we already at 51 chapters...

I have so many ideas for this story... it may be longer than one book... ;) But honestly I don't know yet. But this is absolutely crazy... I started writing this for shits and giggles but now I can't believe so many of you love this story.

Anyways, I'll stop rambling, enjoy!

Throughout the entire movie, Mack sings along to all of the songs with her pitchy voice, getting up and dancing occasionally when the song calls for it. When she gets up and completely butchers the hand jive, Harry and I end up in stitches from how hard we are laughing.

Honestly, I haven't felt this happy on my birthday in a long time. I realize I haven't checked my phone all day, and I know I probably have a few messages to respond to, so I excuse myself from the living room, leaving Harry alone to endure Mack's performance of Grease.

I scroll through my inbox and see a few simple "happy birthday" texts from classmates, none that I am super close with, but I still send a "thank you" back to each of them. I notice Lucas's name at the top of my screen and click on his message.

From: Lucas Greene

-Happy birthday Lu. Just wanted to check in and make sure you were having a good day. Take it easy.-

I smile as I read his message. It sucks that I feel so conflicted about Lucas, that he put me in a situation where I would feel ashamed and stupid for forgiving him. But I really miss him as a friend. He, Mackenzie, Tyler, and I were so close... I can't even comprehend how we got to where we are now. I am really appreciative of the fact that Lucas helped us arrest Tyler, even though his parents are probably going ballistic. I know what he said to me was disgusting, and our friendship will never be the same, but I can't help but feel like I should give him another chance, he genuinely seems like he wants to fix things... Am I an idiot?

I text him back, flattered that he remembered my birthday and took the time out to message me.
