"Good afternoon, Mr. Styles. I hope you are doing well," I hear through the speaker of my phone. I had just come out of the shower and quickly toweled off before I heard my phone vibrating on the counter. Usually, I'd let it go to voicemail and just continue getting ready, but I saw that it's my lawyer, and I knew it must be important.

"I'm alright, how are you?" I ask politely. I wrap the towel around my waist, keeping my phone pressed to my ear as I make my way out of the bathroom and into my closet.

"I'm well. I am calling to let you know that Mr. Calvin has taken the bargain and he has plead guilty to the assault against Ms. Callahan. He will have to serve a 12-month sentence and he must pay a large fine. I hope this is the justice you and your friend were hoping for," he informs me.

Wow. Tyler actually pleaded guilty. A part of me is surprised, his family is very powerful and I know this is going to be a huge scandal. But also, there was no way he was going to win this trial, not with the lawyers I hired. He was smart to take the plea bargain. If he didn't, and they still found him guilty, he'd have to serve at least 2 years in prison and pay a much larger fine.

"Thank you so much, I will let my friend know," I reply.

"Take care, Mr. Styles."

As I hang up the phone, I let out a sigh of relief for Mackenzie. She no longer has to live in a world where her assailant can walk around freely. She no longer has to feel scared and vulnerable. Obviously I know she won't heal overnight, and this is an emotional scar she may carry with her for the rest of her life. But at least this can help bring her at least a little peace.

I quickly scroll through my contacts to find Mackenzie's name. I lift the phone to my ear and hear the familiar dial tone as I wait for her to answer.

"Hello? Harry?" She asks.

"Hey Mackenzie, how are you?" I ask her.

She giggles and I think I hear another giggle coming from the phone, maybe Luna is with her. "I'm good. Hold on, I'm putting you on speakerphone. Luna's here cuddling with me, you should definitely be jealous," she teases.
